I looked into changing my taps and fixtures to brass, but read that if you have hard water it’s better to go chrome so it’s not as visible. I definitely won’t be doing any black accents which I see in a lot of diy stores now, water in my area is practically chalk!

What a really good idea to make small scale pieces on paper to fit them in your space, like doing a cad drawing without the technology. The first thing is to decide what budget you have with a contingency. It is so easy to get carried away when you go to bathroom showrooms - A classic mistake when renovating to sell. Thanks for your practical comment re encasing toilet cisterns, something that people do not think about if they need access if there is a problem. Looking forward to this project once it has been "shadefied".

It’s going to look great! I love my LED mirror as it can be used without the ceiling light so the fan isn’t activated if you just want to use the sink or get something. My heated towel rail has an element with a timer so it comes on without the central heating.
