Thanks for this! I’ve just ordered a sponge to replace for my bond elite, how often do you recommend replacing them?

I just got a hk160, with every piece of small accessory, manuals, punchcards, blank punchcards and all - for what amounts to £11. I took it apart to clean it, and one of the interesting things I found was, that the hk160 has all springs and latches to fold up, like yours, but no way to release them, when they are in the flat position. It seems the only difference between the two machines, is the little red release lever, and the box to pack it in. I thought that was an interesting little discovery.

@@tedlich That is interesting. Surely it has some strengthening plate across the bottom to prevent sagging where the beds join? £11 is a great price! Cherish those blank cards, they are very hard to get hold of.

@thesweaterfactory it does. It has two metal plates fastened with screws. If you remove them, and two screws placed centrally on the machine, the springs release and the side pop out and can now be folded up. When reassembling, the sides have to be pushed back in, until they click in to place. Very satisfying. Now I kinda wish I had one like yours 😄 Anyway. I just happened to find it in my local second hand shop. I have never had a knitting machine before and am very excited to learn this new skill.

Much better than shop bought bread that contains chemicals and is classed as an ultra-processed food. Because of less fats, salt and sugars and other chemicals, homemade bread doesn't tend to keep as long, we freeze half and keep the other half we are using in the fridge and that extends its shelf life.

Can you do a video on making a rib say for a jumper I have no idea how these work , I’m thinking of a ribber but so expensive I have a kh 260 and a 950 I do they need separate carriages ?, it would be great if you could demo it on a kh 260 if you have one , how does it actually do rib does it need a punch card ?, sorry for all the questions thank you so much for this tutorial .

Hi, just found your channel. Can you give any recommendations for a machine that offers a ribber and lace carriage? Thank you. 1:56
@Thesweaterfactory
@Thesweaterfactory Ай бұрын
Brother standard gauge machines come with lace carriages for the most part, all have optional ribbers. I like the Brother KH-890 for a punchcard machine and my favourite electronic machines are the Brother KH-940, 950i, 965i and 970. I recommend any of those machines. Very good. KR-850 ribber is available and will fit all five of those machines.

You say the pattern is transferred… do you mean copied to the machine, or removed from the cartridge and put to the machine? I hope it is first option…

Hi, so I’ve just purchased the Panasonic YR2550 & it’s printed in the instructions to add 475g of strong white on menu 3, I noticed you added 500g, is this a slight mistake on your part or you just prefer to keep it simple with 500g?
