It ticks alot of boxes as a runaround verses a second hand vehicle of the same price. It terms of looks it's fugly but practical, easy to park for my wife in the city car parks. I do like the darker interior, it's cosy.we are at the age where some teck is wasted like ambient lighting but the 360 camera would be more practical. Know nothing about an eV myself, but the way things are going... We're forced into it with most of my time on a 60km per hr back road

@@georgebush2798 in Ireland-we don’t get the blind view monitor as it doesn’t have 360 camera unfortunately and we don’t have a sunroof option, other countries may have these options !

The same car in Croatia is the same price with all additional and the government there offers & €9,000 back on EV's. Pity our government is as keen to offer the same insentive

@doolanbrian Thanks for reply Brian. No everything else good now. But I did have it back after two days. Was pinging every 10 secs. Amber triangle and camera obscured message. Cruise control didn't work. I think front camera was changed.

If you can’t keep recharging your just carrying a load of equipment you don’t need and once the battery power has gone you will use more fuel than a standard petrol and a lot more than a diesel.

@@WilliamLaverick-wo1nb you would use more fuel than a diesel or more fuel than a non-plug-in hybrid if you don’t plug-in.. so the only way to be efficient is to plug-in or choose one of the other fuel types I guess

Just bought one a month ago. Sometimes it worked.. sometimes not. Just discovered there is a 15 second delay after you lock the car before it automatically will open when you are standing behind it. And the parking. Break must be on .

For Hyundai the auto hold is more of a luxury when traveling through the city with lots of traffic lights or stop and go traffic situations. Auto Hold stays on the brake so you don’t have to keep your foot there. Hyundais emergency brake engages all the time when switched into park IF it feels the need too when parked on a slight or major incline. I don’t mind it tbh but they found a way for us to use the rear brakes just as much as our front brakes in turn making the brake company’s sell a few more brake pads and shops being able to service them more often. With that said I still love my Hyundai Sonata N-Line and god bless the Koreans who manufactured them. Just make sure if you purchase these newer vehicles with better electronic technology to STAY ON TOP OF BATTERY MAINTENANCE. simple.

@@doolanbrian If you leave people an option not to bother about something, they usually go for that option😂 I'm sure some use PHEVs in most efficient way, but even for them a "normal" hybrid would work just fine, or full EV for some that drive mostly on short distance.

Sometimes a condensation might appear from inside and that can also cause that. I also had an instance where a decent sized bird excrement landed exactly on the camera and also caused the same :D

Ice just taken delivery of the face-lift Tuscon 2025 petrol hybrid, I have one question that I think you may know, but has baffled me. I have the B type cluster, and down in the lower right side, when using the + / - paddle shifts, the cluster illuminated Lev 1 2 or 3 but if press & hold a paddle that then changes on the cluster again( I noticed this yesterday for the first time and now can't remember the other displayed name, doh) but it certainly is not changing any gears. Any thoughts sir? I also noticed that when pressing the right paddle the vehicle would go into EV mode on the cluster. Thanks in advance. Kevin

Hi Brian, hope your keeping well. I have the same problem on my new Honda ZRV also had the same problem on the CRV its common but it clears pretty quickly. @ I certainly am again just another amazing machine from Honda with the new Civic engine with 184bhp and 316Nm of torque also the new ECVT is brilliant with shifts built into the software and it feels like it’s actually changing gear very odd but outstanding. Only 1 minor fault is that the front passenger door window has a small rattle when open but that’s to be expected on a brand new car as in design. Also the miles on a full tank can hit 670 and the mpg is far better in the summer but about the same in the winter as the CRV. Honda are reducing the models available as in could only be available for 6 months and when the numbers have hit the max they remove the car from Motability. Also I have only seen 4 other ZRV,s on the road as they are bloody expensive at just under £43K for the top spec and not much less for the bottom spec they have become expensive cars but to be honest they are worth every penny. I have been having some health issues as not getting any younger as at this moment in time I have a Inner ear virus that is causing some nasty dizzy spells my GP has given me some tablets they are sort of working but will have to finish the prescription then if no better I have to go back for further tests. How is business going and are you still shifting cars or have the numbers dropped off the edge of a cliff?

Thank you Brian for this great video. I see you are using a portable battery jump starter. This would be great to have. However, if I understand correctly, my 2022 Hyundai Tuscon PHEV does not have a separate 12v battery system but rather it is part of the main lithium battery stuck underneath the rear passenger floor. Question: With this set up is it still safe to use a portable jump starter? What restrictions are there for jump starting lithium batteries? Gerry

@@UFGatorAg okay so on the plug-in hybrid, there is a separate 12 V battery just like a regular vehicle! The self charging hybrid has a different set up where the battery as you say, is more integrated into the lithium ion battery that drives the vehicle🙂

I have a 2022 Hyundai Tuscon Plug with same issue. So thank you for the video. I read somewhere that once you jump start the PHEV you will need to drive it at least 30 minutes to fully recharge start up system. Is that your experience? Also it seems you cannot do a slow trickle charge on this vehicle through the same fuse related connections? Again is that true? Finally no sure why this happened since car was plugged in for several days..??

@@UFGatorAg thank you for watching okay, so the first thing is yes you will need to go for a good 20 to 30 minutes drive to allow the 12 V battery to recharge, and yes, it is my experience that you need to trickle directly onto the 12 V battery rather than through the jumpstart terminal. When you say the car was plugged in for a few days, do you mean it was plugged in charging the traction battery that drives the car?

I'm watching from Spain so I'm afraid I can't give you my business, but I am going to buy one of these next week! A 49kWh with the higher trim level. There are some tiny differences with the Spanish market models. The better spec option comes with a mandatory black roof here - which is daft in a sunny country. I saw that in other markets (France?) that ventilated front seats are an option - would certainly be appreciated here in Spain. I don't think the rear seats recline, not even on top spec package. €31.6k here in Spain.

@@Malcolmbubb realistically the 4wd is around 8l/100 kms when in hybrid mode and the 2wd is about 7l/100 kms when in hybrid mode .. if you fill the car with passengers, probably add another half a litre per 100 km!
