That's interesting. Reminds me a little of my Zafira which stated a more frequent oil interval if you had 'harsh' driving conditions. These were either taxiing, or multiple short journeys like a 5 mile commute. They said use synthetic oil or change every 6 months. I generally did both - service once a year but extra oil-only in between, but used fully synthetic anyway.

@@herrtomas6729 that’s correct, actually now that you say it I have seen the oil life warning on Opel !

Hello! Thank you for the videos! Always a pleasure to watch them. On my turbo cars, I change the oil at 7500km / 6 months and on my non turbo cars, 15000km / 1 year. Oil and filters are cheap, repairs are expensive so there is no reason to risk it. On an unrelated note, so you know fi the 1.6 diesel 115ps engine from a 2020 Hyundai i30 has a timing belt or chain? This information seems impossible to aquire, maybe in part because they were not sold as new here. All the best!

@@10mbc hey there thanks for watching as always ! Regular servicing is super important but so many people don’t give it enough attention.. as a 1.6 , they used to run on a chain but I think the 2020 is belt .. to be sure , is your car Adblue model ???
@10mbc2 ай бұрын
@@doolanbrian I have not bought the car yet but yes, it has AdBlue. I am looking into buying it but, most likely, I will get it in January.

@ ok I believe ,but stand to be corrected , that the Adblue equipped engines run a timing belt which is due for inspection at 120000 kms or replacement at 240000 kms , when you’re looking at the car, just open the maintenance section of the manual and it should be there🙂👍
