I tired this recipe three times. Each time I did my absolute best. But it turned out: 1. Not stretchy 2. Tastes like Play-Dough 3. Never got shiny as described 4. Even the texture was like Play-Dough I followed each direction with a lot of care! It’s very discouraging, especially when this recipe is described as easy. No offence, but this was terrible, and I’m definitely not trying again.

thank you for the recipe, one thing i did that i recommend to do after you have finished your simple syrup zest the lemons into the syrup and this will give some backbone and elevate the flavour, before mixing the syrup in strain it so you don't get any of the zest.

I just trust the 10-12 minutes in a 350 degree oven. If you know your oven runs hotter or cooler, you may want to adjust your time.
