Looks great… but the size is a dealbreaker for me. I’ve seen other similar trunk carry-ons with those thicker handles, that were recessed, making the bag fit international standards. So… in this case, Quince could do better. The scuffing and denting is also not something I’d like. I think this style ruins be safe if it were underseat sized, since it would have less “opportunities” to get tossed around and dented by baggage handlers or overhead bin accidents. - I am looking at their 24” hard shell, as an extra bag to check, on longer trips where I need to bring extra stuff or will be bringing back. - I’m also a fan of their beefier compression cubes and the quilted tote/duffle (Mz Wallace dupe.)

Do you have videos showing you packing for the return trip? And ones showing you unpack once you're back home?

It’s beautiful. I have the Away bigger carry-on in aluminum, and it looks identical. It’s also the same size as the away bigger carry-on. Now away has an international carry-on that’s slightly smaller, which would be great if quince did the same thing. Omg though, the price is amazing!!!! If I didn’t already have the Away Bigger Carryon, I would jump on it.

Use your age and experience and talk about the travel game . Im sure the two of you use travel cards to give status and minimize the costs. Many content creators in that segment are just a few years out of college. Some suggest what to get and 6 months later suggest something else. Basically they are churning cards without being able to share the long game because of youth. Dont give up on what you do well but add content like this

I might consider the under seat version to hack budget airlines, but I’m not a fan of the carry on version. Non clamshell ones aren’t my vibe and I don’t recommend them.

Glad you are able to finally review the aluminum bag from Quince. The picture of the beat up trashcan made me laugh when comparing it to how your bag, albeit with memories, will look once used. Your dog barking when you were throwing the bag around was so funny! Thanks for an enlightening and honest review.

The weight and size is a no for me. I use the international size quince and love it. With the 2025 standard luggage sizes for carry on going into effect I'm going to stick with the bag that I have. Thanks for the review! 😊

Good review. Thank you for measuring. It’s a lovely bag, but the handles make it a no-go. They’d need to recess them. What a waste for luggage manufacturers! So many great bags made obsolete by 1-2 inches or less. These new (and ever-evolving) restrictions on luggage size and weight are super annoying. I have a two year old suitcase that is now too big to carry on due to the handle. 🤦♀️ These days, I’m not investing $250 on any luggage that might be invalidated in a year or two. I’m better off with a $30 light tote that I can squeeze into the box and chuck if the regulations change. (TEMU anyone?) sad
@ItsTheKellys7 сағат бұрын
There aren’t really any changes going on, but eventually a lot of airlines are trying to have the same allowance. There’s a lot of false rumors going on. They just need to make it 45 linear inches or less, end of story! There should be one size carry on, and whatever size for the checked bag world 😂 I know nothing about that

Have you done a video about washing or refreshing clothing while traveling? I would love to see that. 😊
@ItsTheKellys9 сағат бұрын
The only thing I will usually wash myself is underwear, and I feel weird showing that on camera 😂 Most of the time I wear clothes that are okay to be reworn a few times. Or if something gets really dirty or misshapen, and I have a few days at a hotel, I’ll send some items to get washed and dried. I did that once with a white t-shirt in Nepal, after riding on a motorbike for a day! Or my jeans in Italy, finally getting loose after wearing them for 5 days. Sometimes it’s worth it on a long trip.

I love your packing videos but my favorite are your vacation vlogs. Where you have so many amazing an unique photos have you ever thought of adding a calendar or book to your merchandise? Maybe produce one and let people pre order so you don’t end up with unsold merchandise. You pictures are amazing just a thought. Thanks for all your hard work this is my favorite KZbin channel.

I'm a chronic overpacker! I don't know how to just get it down. I'm the worst when it's packing for work because I get a contract that may initially say one to two months but keep getting extended and I'll be gone for three-nine months, not returning home. That covers multiple seasons all over the entirety of the USA and Canada. I'm at a loss how to prioritize. It's expensive to have tons of my stuff shipped home and buy new stuff. I move day to day so it's near impossible to have things shipped to me regularly since I don't know where I'll be staying beyond a day or two out. I'm open to suggestions from travelers. I've been doing nearly full time travel for over 3 years but i would love to limit my stress in luggage

I thought of another "beginner" travel question. What are the top 5 or 10 countries for budget travelers? Like off-the-beaten path, or where you can get an amazing experience for lower cost than typical popular destinations.

I’d love to cover that one. I just don’t have footage from them because I went so long ago, but I’ll script it out and see how it goes- or maybe make it a blog post since I have photos!

What are your best tips for traveling with or needing large amounts of cash in countries that use pretty much only cash? Like Argentina or Albania? I am traveling to Albania this summer and want to plan a trip to Argentina and am use credit cards 99% of the time in my daily life.
@ItsTheKellys9 сағат бұрын
I’d do a money exchange or use the ATM, and get out how much you think you will need, and exchange back what you don’t use. When I do cash trips, I like to travel with a few envelopes to set aside for specific expenses, like tips for guides, taxis, emergency cash, etc. I did this mostly for budgeting back in the day, but it does help keep your money separate and not all in the same place :)

Beginner topics: New size requirements for carry on bags. (Is this mostly for international travel?) Also finding best airline deals, hotel deals. Single travel vs duo travel, best way to keep in contact on phone, what kind of equipment to take for photos, finding trustworthy guides for excursions, best amount of time to stay in a place, weekend trips, pitfalls to avoid (pick pockets, using local transportation), need to transfer funds to local currency. Just a few random thoughts on topics for beginner travelers. Looking forward to your upcoming videos.

Lauren, I started watching your videos because of your packing and your traveling, so I'm thrilled those will both continue to be what your channel is all about. One of my favorite videos was the packing intervention with your friend, Christine. LOVED that!! I always love seeing you pack your own stuff, but helping someone else was on another level. I am excited to see even a portion of your upcoming travels, and hope to also see more of where you get your lightweight clothes. Also, need more of your merch! I wear my "Travel Often, Pack Well" shirt over and over. Love your channel and always will!

Are these issues happening if these bags are used daily? I just got the pochette metis in monogram canvas from the Kusama collection. I don’t, Im actually in a salon where I’m an employee and not self employed (rare, I know) but I plan my time off a year out, and book my clients around it, and I’m 100% booked when I’m home, so I think it’s just an understanding between all involved :)
