The Hegent, combined with the wide handle and latches from the Captain Pro, would make the perfect carry-on!

I actually brought the Hegent from your previous review. I'm now eyeing the Freeloop - it's beautiful!

that Freeloop has always been one I have looked at while shopping. gives me an old school feeling i guess. thanks for sharing great content!

Thank you for this. Now I have to see if AA will take the Hegent on international flights. Btw what is the bag in the back to the right of the olive level 8? I thought it was the carl friedrick but that had a brown handle.

I have had my eye on level 8- especially the carry on in yellow!!!!! I just have so many bags- monos being the main ones. Curious which you think is better quality?
@itllbesuzanarchy4 ай бұрын
Why are none of these bags sized 22" x 14" x 9"? Ugh. As someone who has been stopped and made to check my bag for being .5" over, I'm not spending that much money for a heavy bag that doesn't even fit 40L. They *are* beautiful, though!
@auntlynnie4 ай бұрын
Same. They miss on that middle number on every bag. I’m not gambling with that, considering airlines are getting stricter.
@thespecialthings4 ай бұрын
These bags will be good for most international airlines! I find it's mostly US airlines that do the 14"W max, so definitely shope another brand for those flights
@itllbesuzanarchy4 ай бұрын
@@thespecialthings But see, I don't want to have to get two different carry-ons for travel! Then I have to store an extra one. Airlines are only getting stricter. It really makes no sense for Level 8 not to make at least one bag that's the standard 22x14x9 imho.
@eyesopen66873 ай бұрын
@@itllbesuzanarchyat Samsonite outlet the guy was honest with me and said get this carry on which was exactly 22x14x9 Outline Pro. I am looking at the Level 8 Voyageur 26” which holds 93 liters for a multi weather trip. They make a luggage protective cover for it tsa approved. Think it’s worth it because of the way baggage handlers throw bags around nowadays

I have the Freeloop and the Hegent but in the checked sized. We took them along with our Level 8 luminous textured carry on bag and they worked great! We used those for our family of 4 and we were able to fit everything plus all of our souvenirs from Disney and Universal! Used the packing cubes from level 8 as well and I used your code with each purchase 🤣🤣.

First, if I'm paying $1100 for a carry on, it better come with someone to carry it on for me. Just saying. Can I afford it? Yes, but nope, not happening. Second, I'm a small not young woman, heavier is not better for me, even on a car trip that would be an issue. So, none of them are my thing but I love the video.

I’ll be getting one in a few weeks! Compared to the hybrid, it’s going to be the same packing example as in my monos comparison video, but with more expansion room.

@ItsTheKellys just wondering on your thoughts 🤔 I am thinking to travel to Asia for about 3 month. You think taking 2 lg size luggage and one carry on plus backpack will do ? Just want to get your opinion since you travel alot . Thanks in advance!
@KayTee9792 ай бұрын
When I think of affordable luggage, I think of a 3-piece set of luggage for $200 or less. Not $200 or more for one piece of luggage. Maybe I just be cheap when it comes to luggage.
@ItsTheKellys2 ай бұрын
@@KayTee979 I was like that for years. But I constantly found myself replacing broken luggage year after year, and realized I had probably spent over $1000 on cheap pieces, when I could have gotten something great with a lifetime warranty for just a little bit more. Plus, I do carry on only, so I don’t do sets :)
@KayTee9792 ай бұрын
@@ItsTheKellys I don't travel that much to make the extra expense worth it, my cheap luggage lasts me for 10+ years. Maybe one day if I can travel more, I will get something like in the video. I absolutely would never be able to do carry on only, I can't back quite that light. I can pack much less than the rest of my family and often they are using my luggage for their extra stuff, but definitely not able to fit in a carry on only. :)

These bags are too heavy. I need them to be lighter so you can get more in them.
@IntriguedLioness4 ай бұрын
Level 8 prides itself on being luxury luggage so it's going to be heavy. You might laugh at the suggestion but have you ever seen IT luggage? They are basically featherweight but something that would not survive being checked. In general, the way I get around this is to avoid wheeled luggage entirely. I travel with expedition bags or convertible backpacks.
@IntriguedLioness4 ай бұрын
Golly, getting through 19' of different level 8 luggage variations gives me a headache. How many hours to edit and render!?! As someone who has even had chance to write off my luggage purchases in the past I just never wanted the extra weight. If I was going to go this heavy again I would purchase Rimowa. But, as a budget traveler, these bags simply way too much. IMO these bags are just unnecessary gimmicks or high maintenance. I was enthralled the first time I had kitchen drawers and cabinets with slow release but I don't have the patience to watch my luggage handles slow release. I am also confused by the Captain Pro top that you can use as a desk(?). I'm never that much in need of a desk to forgo a top grab handle, and especially in that color configuration it just looks haphazard. The basic FreeLoop would be the one I would possibly choose but that glossy exterior might be trending this year but it's going have a ton of scratches next year. I have never purchased luggage that needed a luggage cover 😂 What level 8 first hit the scene I was drawn in by a model they had with the wide handle and wondered why more luggage companies didn't do that because the silly "grooves" just take away from interior packing space. So, in summary, I guess I would pick and choose different specs from each bag but not one speaks to me.
