Hello from Toronto Ontario 🇨🇦 Really enjoyed your video. I recently bought the entire eight sets of five colors each of these Schmenke granulating watercolors in pans in a single metal tin on Amazon. Cost me a small fortune but I've really wanted them for a long time now. I've been slowly swatching them but after viewing your excellent video I'll begin swatching with more water. Totally impressed by your swatching book. Best I've ever seen. Cheers 🫠

I'm Native American. Thank you for featuring these paints. I was considering A Gallo, however, I am going to check out this brand to support my indigenous ✊🏽 They're gorgeous colors with awesome names! I wonder if the paint stones could b freed from wrappers and just placed in another palette 🎨

Thank you for watching 😊. I suppose they could be removed however I didn’t think of it until after I got them all wet 😆. I am pretty sure that they use waxed canvas strips now instead of paper so that might make it even easier.

Great video. Maybe someone else said it before or you might have corrected already, at 18:01 PY43 is Yellow Ochre, this is why it is muted.

Hi, my favourite was the grey and pink one using the masking fluid, but honestly, they are all very pretty, along with a step away from the norm!! This is something a hand made card should do, and yours all do exactly that! I’m a new subscriber and look forward to working my way towards the present day. 🖌️🎨👩🏻‍🎨

Thank you for the great video. Am looking for a color to resemble buildings blowing up for a rescue picture out of Israel I working on. Not sure which colors to use in the picture the dust is a blueish color. I hope I do the picture justice. It is an IDF soldier rescusing infant twins, they are asleep in his arms as he runs to save them. I'm so broken hearted for Israel they need lots of prayers. Your dog is adorable, he looks like a miniature Softcoated Wheaten Terrier. Ours just turned 4 yesterday his sister is a Morkie, more Yorkie than Maltese but they are pals. But the wheatons are the most amazing loving greatful dogs. My vet said ya gotta get one no other dog out there like them. Ya right I said. Now I say yes sir Doc you are absolutely correct. Absolutely NO Shedding, nice Soft Fluffy hair can tend to matting if not brushed often but other than that so glad we followed his advice. Just found your channel again thx. I subscribed looking forward to more.

This is a delightful video and you have a lovely style and delivery, so I have subscribed. These paints are very nice but slightly misleading. Because of the narrative of beeswax and plastic-free, etc. the inference is that the pigments would be natural also. But actually, the ones I have seen seem to be industrial organic compounds and micas and are subject to the same extraction methods and production standards used in larger-scale commercially available artist paints (as well as in the automotive and other industries). Also, the packaging seems to be printed with toner, which is a plastic-based process. As a professional artist, I would be a little hesitant about the information provided about light fastness, and binder too. Finally, a large air bubble is be annoying, given the price of these paints. I am not dissing these, by the way, as they look very pretty, but I think a little transparency about the provenance should be included.

A while ago, a youtube artist did a lightfast tests for those paints and they turned out to be fugitive despite being labeled lightfast. Apparently she reached out to them and they blocked her on instagram. I like the I idea of the paint being made in a traditional way but It seems like this producer is not a trustworthy one.

Lemon Yellow is PY 3 not P 43! PY43 cannot be found as a single pigment at Schmincke. However, it can be found in raw sienna (PBr7 /PY43), in yellow raw ochre (PY42 PY43) and in the granulating raw umber (PBr 7/ PY43). Schmincke can mix this well from the pigments themselves. For remixing, you could then perhaps take the raw umber, because PBr 7 is already included.

Not techno savvy here... I don't understand posting it online with a hashtag... I have a blog.. do I post it on there and hashtag it? Um... I'am on Facebook but don't really post anything ... Do I post it on there? And I guess you can hashtag it on there?..
@bazutaartstudio
@bazutaartstudio Жыл бұрын
I think the purpose of the hashtag is so that people can search it and see everyone’s work in one place. And I don’t think you HAVE to post it really, the idea behind that is supposed to be for accountability, you know, you say your going to do a thing and then show that you did that thing. But I also don’t feel you HAVE to post either if you’re not comfortable doing so. The point really, is to have fun and grow your skills. 😊

Wild and intriguing! Nice musical choice, too. Your methodical breakdown of the pigments is extremely helpful. It looks like Schmincke takes a lot of extra trouble to get the finest grind on their pigments to get the dispersion veining so fine. Thank you. What kind of paper did you use or should I ask prefer?
@bazutaartstudio

Thank you 😊 I can really remember the paper but I believe it was a Canson brand, maybe Strathmore, it would have been cold pressed.

I can totally relate and agree with you. Last year for the first time I participated in inktober and I made my own list and that's not even 31 i made a list of 15 so that I can draw every alternate days. I also go for my own prompts because I know I'm not quick enough to think for every prompt everyday and that will be very overwhelming for me. So it's better i can come up with my own. The final goal is to draw for myself isn't it! And hence I decided to make a 31 list for this year inktober and I already started writing down the prompts. Hope I can draw for whole 31 days

That’s awesome that you are challenging yourself and attempting the whole 31 days! Yes, I do think the goal should be to draw for yourself, it should be fun. 😊 good luck this year. I’m sure you’ll do great!

Funny thing about "first nation's" languages; they are all modern and fake. None of them had a written language. They all made up their so-called languages after manifest destiny. The oldest written language of the"first nation's" was the Cherokee, but even she made it up using English alphabet in an attempt to spell out sounds. Personally I find that so damn impressive. To think collections of people created not only entire languages from remnants of sounds, but to also create an alphabet of of nowhere is pretty gd amazing. Speaks to how highly intelligent they were and how easily and quickly people can achieve something when they come together instead of fighting over another for the victim prize.
