One of your videos popped up in my feed and I watched it, never heard of these particular brand of vacuums or your channel. However, I subscribed and like what I see. Anyone who plucks things from the landfill is alright by me😊 Looking forward to more videos!

Sorry Sam !forgot to tune in at 6! Busy evening lol packing up a hoover junior deluxe 😊 I'm all for changing flavours with Henry's motors, after all, look at the success of RGB Henry, Sam! If I had the balls and the brains I'd have a go at one of them my self!!

That filter is genuine and motor is a Panasonic one, with those motors you can actually just screw the original Henry motors bearing housing onto the top of it making the motor effectively the same height as the normal one, use to always pick up dc25s and dc40s for that reason, the screw holes are already there, it’s just upto you to get the comm off the bearing housing and find bolts small enough to attach it

Awesome, glad you got it fixed! As long as an wrong screw wasn't too long and punches through the plastic you'll be fine 👌😂 their either tiny or the same length/t15

hello everyone.hope you all have great chrismas and a great new year.can anyone help me fix a kirby heritage2 floppy headlight? arigato.best wishes.
@sebo_up_and_down2 күн бұрын
The headlight hinges on a steel roll pin along the rear edge. Over time the steel pin wears a bigger hole in the aluminium housing and the headlight becomes slack & falls down. Once the body is disassembled it is possible to peen the end of the roll pin with a punch to improve the pin's tightness. This will improve things for a while but it will get loose again. A longer term fix is to drift a solid metal rod down into the hole inside the roll pin to tighten it up. It needs to be a tight fit. We have also had success using a tiny, stainless, self-tapping screw that is a tight fit in the roll pin hole. This method gives options to fit a larger diameter screw should the slackness return. YT channel Kirby Enthusiast has a great video on this subject. You may wish to take a look. Kind regards.

@@sebo_up_and_down thank you sebo up and down.can you possibly give me an idea what size self tapping screw please? very best wishes.
@sebo_up_and_downКүн бұрын
@@thewatcher9587 We forget the specific size we used as it was a while ago. The screw came out of a mixed boxed set of stainless pan-head self-tapping screws we bought from Amazon for little money. Sizes included were M1 to M6 in various lengths. It was likely an M2 or M3 we used. Old non-working electronic goods are a great source of small screws too. Using these is zero cost apart from your time. Old hard drives, power supplies and tower cases can supply you with many screws in various sizes and we are sure you'll find some that are a close fit to your roll pin hole.

I remember someone at work last year finding a Henry 160 in one of our bin bays at work but it was completely disassembled and seemingly not that old (about a year at most iirc). Looked pretty clean so I was given the task to look at it. Turns out the only thing it was missing was motor brushes and someone else at work has a partner who fixes Henry's and brought in a selection, of which we found a suitable pair. Works fine so no idea what had happened to it to be disassembled and to have it's motor brushes removed.

I do like the DC24, it's successor (the DC50) is nicer but apart from the fact panasonic was too eager to create a high performance low-wattage motor without the technology even being there yet causing unreliability these are more robust.
