The definitive reason I don't play on a site that allows a HUD or HH, is simply because in my state I have an option of 1 (Global Poker) that does not allow any kind of RTA, or even hand logging. I wish I had more options, but alas.

The problem with 5 card and 6 card PLO games is teams of 5 can have access to 25 hole cards, and figure whether or not you hit a flush draw or not, sometimes with perfect knowledge, for example 3 clubs on board, and they collectively have access to the 10 other clubs, so they can sniff out your bluff, or your dry ace bluffs in the case where you just have the ace of clubs, and they have the 9 other clubs.

The video is good, but I do miss the very best tips in how to remember the scale from early to late position and they should have explained to point system which makes it way easier to remember all the ranges.

The main LAG play is going after people who are losing and avoiding people who are winning. LAGs go HARD at tilted players and try to get into pots with them. Conversely they avoid tough/winning players who are on their game. LAGs actually collude with the stronger/winning session players to a certain degree.

This is one of the toughest things to do. Basically only do it with a winning image(meaning you just won the previous hand/not on tilt)

I bought a copy of this book on Amazon and it came in black and white. None of the graphics or range charts were in color. This was a bit dissapointing and made the book harder to use for analysis.

Sorry to hear about the disappointment Andy. Full-color paperback costs are too high, unfortunately, BUT if you look on page #1 of your book, there is a link where you can grab the full-color images to make following the charts/graphics from the books easier 👍

Advices in the video are good, but are based on playing your actual hand and not your range. This is ok if you play against recreational opponents, and is what I often do (I play mostly live games 2/5 and 5/10), but if you play against good ones (not necessarily super balanced GTO players, just very good reg) you get crushed in no times. Playing like this is how the mid reg stopped winning when 2 or 3 good regs are at the table.

This is some of the most disappointing content I've seen on RCP. "Coolered"???? WTF? If you think that you are continually getting "coolered",....maybe you are not playing correctly? You publish this kind of content and folks starts seeing nits everywhere. Not to mention that you can sit down and see nits when they just happened to be getting bad cards. I expect better from RCP.
@boothbuster

Sounds like you didn't even watch it. That's exactly what he's saying - you probably are not getting coolered, you just don't realize how strong the nit's range is.

To run a solver decently at least you need a 12core/24threads like ryzen 7900 or i7 14700k. The RAM requirement is minimum 64gb to run any decent correct tree, you can do with 16gb but its pretty hard especially for single raised pots in late formations like SB vs BB. And storage you need at least 2tb ssd, ideally 4tb because if you're gonna do MDA with like 50-100million hands, you can easily end up with a database with 1.5tb in hand2note4.

Does “any 2 can be profitable” on SB completes also mean that we should never raise?
@letsinvestigateit
@letsinvestigateit 10 ай бұрын
No you don't to raise 100% of the time because that is what a nit is encouraging you to do and your hands will be dominated every time they call or 3b pre. YOur winning all these tiny puts and they take the big ones basically and put you on tilt over time. YOu want to raise a little wider but 100% is reckless and you will lose to them over time doing that. Whether someone is really aggressive or nitty you don't play outside of your own game to much to try to exploit them. That is why exploitation doesn't work cause you become the whale by trying to adjust to what they are doing. You make small adjustments not reckless ones.
@letsinvestigateit

a nit is not just stacking of with top set... That is a called cooler when you lose set over set. If you have top set and he has bottom set your saying a nit is not stacking off? haha

Your normal Core ranges only have 3bet or fold from SB against Btn raise though don't you. Presumably you need to go Pro and see the GTO ranges before you get this CC range? Would you still say the simplification ok for 3bet or fold only for beginners (I presume RCP would given the ranges provided in Core but perhaps say it is the starting point, villain dependent etc). It might be good for Core if the were intermediate ranges at the end of the course for non beginners (and before Pro GTO range buying required)
@TheGameKat
@TheGameKat 10 ай бұрын
That's correct about the CORE ranges. In fact even in our raw GTO ranges featured on the full version of the app, we chose to hardwire the 6-max simulations so that the SB's options facing a raise were 3-bet or fold. The question is whether you wish to eke out a bit more EV by including a SB flatting range, at the expense of more complicated range construction. On our Discord server I think the majority of winning players at 200NL+ 6-max follow a 3b/fold strat, partly because when multi-tabling it speeds decisions. The other key question is, even if GTO approves a small flatting sub-range from SB, is that sub-range one you (with your current postflop skills) can actually play profitably? It's also plausible that, against many line-ups, 3b/fold exploits the deviations from GTO your real-world opponents are making.
@thomasmatthews80
@thomasmatthews80 10 ай бұрын
@@TheGameKat yeah like this. Just in the video he seems so adamant but I guess he warns to not accept a simple never call in sb approach. I think I can personally accept that for now I only 3b or call in sb. Oddly (and a small sample) in my current 25nl stats I have a positive bb/100 rate in the sb which although I’m sure won’t last does suggest the lack of adapting to my sb strategy from villains. Again though, as I learn I’m willing to risk some abc play as I would rather learn abc first. I’ve also learnt that after any 3bet pot on the flop a 50% cbet prints , I used to so often check the flop which instantly showed weakness

What you talking about. The charts i have if it folds to you you play everything, but 2x off up to J 3x off up to 10, 4x off up to 10. Everything else is at least limp. Of course it is tournament play not cash so i dont know if that changes it
