I get people being surprised Urban is playing. I am surprised people are shocked he can shoot and compete. Dude played in a high level Pro European league where those teams would destroy SEC teams. He wasn't playing with chumps before coming to Florida.

I wouldn't be writing anything in ink right now. We still have about 2-1/2 weeks of the "dog days" of the season. Some teams are going to have injuries; some are trying to get healthy. Some teams will regress after being dtrong all year, some are likely to go to a new level. If I had to pick, my guess is Alabama falls off. Auburn shows a few cracks. Missouri fades. Duke shows some flaws. Florida and Kentucky trend up some, but are inconsistent. Texas A&M looks good, but loses to better teams. The home stretch starts about Feb 26-27. Who gets hot in mid-March? I wouldn't bet lunch on any forecast, but I'd put a quarter on Florida and Kentucky.

Most of us here in North Central Florida did not expect UF to win yesterday, much less dominate the majority of the game. When Florida is hot, they're nearly unstoppable. Consistency has been an issue. They've obviously proved they can win big on the road. Go Gators!! 🐊🐊🐊

I think kenpom's algorithm must be broken when it says the gap between Auburn and Alabama is almost twice as big as the gap between Alabama and Kentucky.

Butler is so critical on D because he takes offenses out of rhythm with active feet and hands, taking a lot of heat off the other 4 defenders. On offense he collapses defenses and opens up lobs and 3 point opportunities. Without him, Kentucky doesn't get out of the first weekend of the NCAA. With him, they're a Final 4 team.

You guys talked about how Kentucky’s defense is bad yet you failed to realize we’ve been injured and a healthy Kentucky team beat duke which required intense defense so healthy Kentucky = good defense and that’s the same for every team that is injured that are Usally good because look at the 2019 golden state warriors they win that finals if not injured and injuries cost them just like injuries cost Kentucky in some conference play this season. The better team does not win if they aren’t fully healthy and you guys have to realize that a healthy Kentucky can play great defense

Florida can have the regular season win, hopefully AU can see them again in the tourney. Florida gave Auburn their best shot today. Feel like it was one of auburns poorer performances but Florida couldn’t miss.

Florida left a lot of points on the table on offense with how many open looks they were able to generate. Difference in this game was on ball defense, especially on the guards. Florida was able to rattle the Auburn guards but Auburn wasn’t able to rattle Florida’s, that’s what made the difference

Floridas defense had a lot to do with what Auburn could do offensively. To somewhat discount that is ignorant. Also, matchups matter. Floridas front line and bench are incredibly tough to deal with for anyone. It will serve them well in March. Toss out the home/road goofy narratives that people push. I get a kick out of the moving of goal posts each week on what we “think” we know verses acknowledging reality haha.

My bad y'all! I typed in 'has one conference ever gotten all 4 1 seeds in ncaa basketball' and the response was Big East 2008. Google fail! From what I can find, the Big East is still the closest with 3 number 1 seeds in 2009 with Louisville, Pittsburg and UCONN with North Carolina from the ACC being the 4th.

Why? We have no animosity against Missouri. Yall were the only ones to see the light with us and get away from Texas in 2012. I have tons of Mizzou friends. Yall have a great team, but it just took yall too long in this game to match the physicality. Had yall played the first 10 minutes like the 2nd half you would have won.
