I enjoy all of your videos. A lot. Did i ever tell you how pleased I was that you were 'suggested ' to me? I love cheesy chips...i love gravy on chips...so I will just have to take your word and try them together! Square sausage, now that must be a Scottish thing because, even though I am just in Durham, I have never seen it here.Nor those lovely looking crisps. Nor white pudding but I have had this in Ireland, (southern Ireland, Dublin and Cork) so i was wrong to assume it was just Irisj. Thanks for the tips on the potato cooking and for the honey in brie.I love Castello, the blue one is my favourite. Very refreshing to have a lovely week of such diversity.

I think square sausage is Scottish, it is also known as Lorne Sausage. It is really nice but not always gluten free, do you not get them in supermarkets down south? White pudding is lovely too, when I lived in London I used to take a supply of them back down with me. Those and macaroni pies. They taste amazing too. Carbs on carbs 😋. I’m not a fan of blue cheese but I see that they do a pineapple soft cheese but that didn’t really appeal to me either. You should definitely try honey with Brie, I never have it without now and it gives it extra flavour xx

Thank you 🥰. I’m up in Aberdeenshire, it is quite nice up here. Depends on what you are in to, if you like things like Castles, Whisky trails, hill climbing, etc then there is plenty of that. Lots of lovely sandy beaches too (apart from Stonehaven, that ones full of stones 😆) but if you are more into things like decent shops, museums, good night life etc then Glasgow/Edinburgh would probably be more to your liking. xx

Hi Denise, If you remember can you let me know if the caramelise houmous is worth getting? I tried houmous for the first time to taste in hospital and its okay so was going to buy some but wasnt sure between that, original or red pepper? Hope the first week of school hols is a lot of fun x

Hi Carol, the caramelised onion was quite nice. Not too ‘oniony’ but enough to taste it. I’ve not tried the Red Pepper one before and I’m not sure if I fancy it. Don’t know why as I do like red pepper 😆. If you do try it then let me know what you think of it xx

I enjoy all your videos and am so pleased that you were 'suggested to me'! I love your salads, they are always so colourful. I am with Noah about spicy things though, two chillis and I would run a mile.Not that i ever have been able to do that! I had Greggs sweet potato salad the other day which was literally some spicy rice with some battered balls of sweet potatoes, it was utterly vile! Even your smoked salmon was spicy!My favourite way for eating it is on a bagel and smothered with (full fat) Philadelphia. I lived in London for 20years and there was a Jewish bakery which churned these out 24 hours a day.I am sure that you would like it.All of your meals look lovely as they always do.i love it that you never compromise on quality. You are doing very well to get Noah to have an adventurous palate. Your husband works very long hours doesn't he? That was amusing when a voice said that you have someone at your front door!

Thank you so much for your lovely words 🥰. Oh that sweet potato salad sounds pretty grim, do t think I will be buying that. The smoked salmon wasn’t too spicy, it just had a slight kick. Oh I do love a bagel smothered in Philadelphia and salmon. I sometimes use the sweet chilli Philadelphia instead of the normal one. Is that in Brick Lane, the bakery? I used to live just outside London over 20 years ago and heard that there was an amazing place there but I never went when I used to travel in to London. It was more Oxford Street for Top Shop and Leicester Square for food 😆. I do try and get Noah to eat other things and he does seem to enjoy them although he would happily eat chicken nuggets, fish fingers and pizza every day like most children 😆. We live outside Aberdeen where he mainly works (as do I) so it can take 35-45 minutes depending on the traffic to get home so the travelling time makes it seem like it’s longer hours that he works. xx

I don't know why i do it but, i tend to have a dry day followed by a wet day (not booze 😂)but one night a curry, next night fish and chips then meatballs, then chops ect, if you get my drift 😊

That makes sense really as at least you won’t be eating too many dry meals close together and get fed up of eating that kind of food. I am now thinking about how often I serve wet & dry food in a week as I have never actually thought about it before 😆 xx

Oh no 😆. Must be an error on their website. I got the Whitby GF Cod Goujons from Tesco instead. The Leon waffles were really nice, I had them with the Nando’s Perinaise. Would buy them again, I just cooked them in the air fryer. Also I bought a packet of Viennese Biscuits in Asda. Not had them in years. They were also very good 😋. Have you found anything new to recommend? xx

@@thelifeofdee75 not tried much new lately. Getting an asda shop next week as for easy tea some nights like their gf chicken burgers and southern fried chicken burgers in free from range. My son is fetching me the m an s salmon fishcakes and the m and s cheese puffs when he comes in a fortnights time. How did you enjoy the asda sticky ginger cake ? X

The ginger cake was really nice, I actually forgot that I’ve still got some left. Hopefully it’s not stale as I will have some later 😆. I’ve not been to M&S in ages, will need to go back and get their samosas & spring rolls as not had them in ages.

Hello! I also love to see the different foods that you have in the US. Some of the things are similar but just have different names. No, I don’t think we do eat catfish here. I’ve never seen it in the supermarkets but possibly may get it in the fishmonger. It’s mainly cod, haddock, salmon that we eat but they have started selling a fish called Pollock which isn’t that nice but I think that it is more sustainable. What do you have with it?

I’ve never had gumbo before, will need to add that to my to try list. I think Louisiana food can be quite spicy can’t it? I don’t mind a bit of spice but the other two in this house aren’t keen on it 🙄. We call shrimp prawns over here and that is probably one of my favourite things to eat although I’ve never had it in a stew xx

I so agree with you about the beans,it has to be Heinz. Even Sainsbury's own is a poor relation. I would ring them up about sending you those burgers which don't look very nice to me. Do you know thst the whole of the online system, including customer service,is based in South Africa now?Truly it is. Sounds like you have an awful lot of food preparation to do before the school holidays!

I will just keep them, I think I may have bought them before but I’m sure they didn’t have a 🌶️🌶️🌶️ rating. I never knew that about their Customer Service, I guess a lot of companies outsource their Customer Service to wherever is cheaper. I’m just buying a few things to spread out the cost as after 6 weeks at home my cupboards will likely be bare 😆 xx

I only buy it when it’s on offer as they are more expensive than what they used to be. I can definitely taste the difference between them and other brands, it’s the tomato sauce that they are in that tastes different to me 🤣

I know, it is so expensive isn’t it? I usually buy it at Christmas or if we are having a nice dinner that needs it. If you’ve not tried them yet I recommend Warburton’s Soft Pittas. They taste really nice plus are so soft, much better than the GF bread for making sandwiches, toast etc 😊. xx

Thank you ☺️. He definitely has a very busy social life, however his poor Dad and I’s social life is a big fat zero 0️⃣ 😆. We’re just unpaid taxi drivers I think 😂. The prawns were nice but were spicy, are you able to eat anything with a one chilli 🌶️ rating or do you not like any slickness at all? xx

They were really nice, not too spicy. I’d say they were worth trying if you like that sort of thing as it was something different to eat. I did end up having really bad heartburn that night so not sure if it was coincidental or if the prawns caused it.

Hey! They were really nice, quite spicy but not too hot. However it gave me really bad heartburn 😔. I was drinking gaviscon out of the bottle at 3am as it was so bad! I will give them another try but if it happens again then I won’t buy them again 😬. He did enjoy his basketball ☺️, a couple of his friends go too so I think that helps. Hope you have a lovely week xx

Great shopping haul. Heinz used to be one of the cheaper brands sadly not anymore they are very expensive now I remember when they used to be around 75p 😊

@@thelifeofdee75 That is so true this cost of living crisis never have I ever seen anything like this before and I'm 55 it's just crazy you don't get much for your money these days I used to love going food shopping now I hate it so much all the price hikes it's so unfair and no more cost of living payments either from the government I know everyone is struggling cos I am too since I lost my partner John suddenly in April been looking for the yellow stickers but I don't have much luck finding those in my local supermarkets I have had to cut down on stuff even just a basic food shop costs around £30-£40 now depending on what I'm needing I did get an air fryer to help cut the cost of my electric which it has helped to do. It's criminal how they can hike up the prices ☺️

I’m so sorry to hear about John, I hope that you have plenty of support around you. I do see some people get really good deals with yellow labels but like you I don’t seem to find them that often. I guess you need to know the times that they do the reducing to get the good deals. Some prices have started to fall so hopefully it continues to drop on other items soon and make everyone’s food bills a wee bit cheaper xx

@@thelifeofdee75 Thank you I hope like you that prices start to fall I know from July 1st the gas & electric are reducing by 7% still not enough really but guess every little helps. I went to Morrisons a few weeks ago when I got a surprise bag and I waited around 2 hours as stuff were being taken off the shelf and put out the back to get reduced but in the end I gave up waiting around so didn't get any yellow stickers oh well not to worry 👍

Lovely haul. I so agree about the beans Other youtubers say theycan't tell the difference between then and other brands are simply telling fibs! Sainsbury's peaches are so nice at the moment. I buy the ripe and ready as i have no luck ever with the ripen at home ones, they just go hard! Noah sounds like he will have a great summer.

Thank you 😊! With some things there is no/very little difference in taste between brands but I can definitely tell the difference in beans 😆. I’d rather pay a bit more and enjoy them less often than have cheaper brands more frequently. Oh I’ve not had their peaches yet , their ripe & ready plums were very good though. Oh sometimes fruit that needs ripened at home can be a bit hit and miss, they can be hard for what seems like weeks then the next time you check them they have gone off 😆. I’m sure he will, fingers crossed the weather improves for Summer. Have a lovely week ☺️ xx

Another lovely week of meals in your house. I like Noah's plates best of all!(except the steak bake as i don't even like Greggs!) Love your salads. It never occurred to me to add olives and avocado, thanks for the idea! Do you ever shop at Ocado? I only ask because i shop all the time in Sainsbury's and just get a bit jaded, although their summer edition peach and raspberry trifle is truly to die for.😊

Thank you so much ☺️. Olives and avocados make a lovely salad. I know that olives can be an acquired taste but they go well with the tomatoes and cucumbers. We don’t get Ocado in Scotland which is a shame as it seems like they do good deals plus they sell M&S food which I love but don’t often buy as I’m not often near one. It’s mainly Sainsbury’s that I buy but get it delivered as we don’t have one in our town only a Tesco and Aldi which I buy from for a top up shop. Oh that trifle sounds lovely 😊

I know, it’s a shame that some companies think that north of the border is too far for them. We no longer have a John Lewis up here, nearest one is Edinburgh 😢. Oh I bought that sticky ginger cake from Asda you told me about the other day, still need to try it 😊.

I am lucky as my youngest lives in Edinburgh so he picks me up the made without at m and s if I need anything. Last week he seen the made without cheese puffs and he bought me a pack. Thank you 😊. It was a very easy way to ‘posh up’ a frozen pizza and it also tasted really good. I added the prosciutto while cooking and added the rocket once it was out of the oven if you wanted to give it a try. Definitely made a cheaper pizza taste better 😊. Yes, he does love football. He plays 3 times a week so now we no longer get a lazy Sunday as we have to drive him to his game which is usually always more than an hour’s drive away. Fingers crossed he becomes the next Lionel Messi and we can retire early 😂. He does eat most things willingly but if he could eat biscuits, cakes and chocolate for every meal he would, he has a very sweet tooth 😬. xx

Oh, if i have not already said, I am so,so glad that your channel was suggested to me. I love it! I love the food that you buy and love how imaginatively and colourfully you serve it up. Even when three of you are eating different things nothing is too much trouble for you. What a very well loved little boy Noah is. Don't chips and sandwiches go together marvellously? I remember the first time that i had them. It was at the Fountains restaurant in Fortnum & Mason. Your sandwiches at 'high tea' came on a Lazy Susan with fries in the centre bit. So never let anyone tell you that they don't go together! You and your mum's pizzas look great. You forget how good Pizza Express ones are in their restaurants after the pale imitations they sell to the supermarkets. Yours looked just as tasty as your mum's. Have you been gluten free for long? Is that the same as being celiac? I will google it as i have no idea. Lovely to see the cats featured. I was surprised to see that Violet was bigger than Freddie as i thought it would have been the other way around. They love tuna don't they?We used to have a yellow labrador who was like that with corned beef. No matter where she was she could somehow know when that little key was inserted! Sorry to go on so, you can tell i was the dunce in the precis class at school, can't you? Fancy schools having a menu now for lunches. Supppse it is good so you don't class with their macaroni cheese! Love, love, love your channel!

Sandwiches and chips go together very well and the one you had at F&M sounds lovely. Will need to serve it up like that one day 😊. Pizza Express pizzas in the restaurant are so much better than their versions sold in supermarkets, I said to the server that my pizza was really good and she said that the BBQ Chicken one has been really popular since it came out. I definitely recommend that one if you are ever in Pizza Express. Violet is smaller in length than Freddie but she is definitely bigger in width 🙈. She loves her food just a bit too much 😬. Animals are funny aren’t they, they can hear a tin open or a bag rustle from 100 feet away and they know they can get something from you. Thank you once again and enjoy the rest of your week ☺️ xx

I need a scooter to shop in-store and neither Aldi nor Lidl offer them so have never been to them!That salmon looks lovely and you will not regret keeping those plums. I’m glad that you can get that in Sainsburys to help you shop more comfortably. The plums were really nice, not hard at all. It was a cat that you heard, I had to check the video to see which one it was 🤣. It was Freddie that you heard in the background. You can quite often hear noise in my videos, if it’s not one of the cats it’s my son that’s making a racket in the background 😆 xx
