I also have Kaylee Ellens Nurture System #1. I tried it a couple of times until my Anthurium Bessea af leaf turned bright yellow like a nutrition issue. I stopped using it immediately simply for the fact that I had no idea if I gave it to much or what. I don't think I did, I followed the instructions. Good luck, I would just say be careful!

Ohh...thanks for sharing that...I'll be extra careful using it now and watch out for any signs...thanks for watching the video 🌿

There are many, many general purpose fertilizers for all house plants. You can use that for basic care. If you want to get fancy then you can look into specialty fertilizers. Hope this helps your plants. It sounds like you’ve done more research and I’m sure your plants will be much happier 😊
@CasualLeaves2 күн бұрын
You're right...I'll definitely look into more options 🌱 hoping this one works until then...I just am longing to see some good healthy growth on my plants...would love some good sized leaves 🌿

I’m sorry this happened 😢 There are some pretty legit sellers with lots of picture reviews on Etsy if you’re still interested in buying real corms

Update?
@CasualLeaves4 күн бұрын
Will definitely do an update for these...both Frydek and Jacklyn corms are doing well...a few of the Jacklyn corms didn't get enough of my care and eventually didn't make it...but most of the healthy ones have become quite bigger than then 🌿🌿
@jessicabellone9136 күн бұрын
I’m sorry that happened to you. Some people can be so greedy and dishonest. I had the same thing happen to me but on Etsy. However I was lucky to realize I had been scammed before they sent anything. I was able to get my money back. Since you bought from Amazon you should be able to get your money back too! Good luck!

I'm so glad that you can relate to this...yes, I did get my money back in just a few days...so that was good...I knew it was too good to be True but wanted to try anyways 🙈 after all it was pink BV 🌸🌿

Well the good this is that this plant bounces back in no time...se good natural indirect light, slight warm temperature, and good nutrition (I started using sea weed) shall help this plant in a general sense 🌿

When you go from soil to pon, what’s your transition process? Or do you go straight to pon with a reservoir right away?
@CasualLeaves14 күн бұрын
Yes I would go directly from soil to PON. It does depend a bit on how good the roots are and how many roots are there, which are healthy. So far I have directly transferred them into PON with a reservoir and it worked each time. I have seen some people transfer from soil to water first so that water roots develop first but that's too lengthy a process.

Anthuriums being heavy feeders, you need a lot more fertilizing. You can grow anthuriums in no drainage semi-hydro setups (chunky moss/tree fern mix are best compared to leca) as long as you fertilize with every watering
@CasualLeaves15 күн бұрын
Sounds good...will be trying to learn more about fertilising them better...🌿

How do you prevent transplant shock?
@LeafyConversations18 күн бұрын
@@galfarrero4619 I have been told that watering the plant the day before really well reduces transplant shock. So far, I have not lost any plant from repotting it usually its something else I do that causes its demise. 🫣
@CasualLeaves17 күн бұрын
Well there's always some plant shock which can't be avoided, it can be lessened for sure...by waiting for the growing season to wait for repots, avoiding breaking any roots/leaves, not keeping it in a new spot immediately after a repot, trying to maintain all the similar growing conditions before the repot as much as possible, using root powder helps (which I forgot to do in this video 🙄), using trichoderma powder with first watering after the repot, alum as well...these are a few things which help lessen the shock and help the plant bounce back 🙌🏻

Hi 🌿, I think I got these from 'The Blooming String' on Instagram if I remember correctly :)
@jessicabellone91318 күн бұрын
Also are you giving fertilizer to your water propagations? If not, you have to because again water doesn’t have any nutrients to sustain your plants long term.
@CasualLeaves18 күн бұрын
Again no :( I haven't fertilised any of my water props :( do let me know how you do it. I have been a bit ignorant about learning this 🫤
@jessicabellone91318 күн бұрын
I don’t know if you’re fertilizing any of your Anthurium but they are heavy feeders. Your Queen looks a bit pale. I’m not sure when the leaf came in but if it’s not new you may want to look into it. My queen seedling is much darker than yours and it’s a bit smaller than yours. Just trying to offer you some help. We’re all here to help one another 😊
@CasualLeaves18 күн бұрын
You are very right! I barely fertilised my plants 😫 I am learning to now. I used to try NPK fertilisers but wasn't sure if it was any good. So stopped for a while. Recently I started a seaweed fertiliser (but use it in a very diluted form. 4 drops in a litre). Would be great if you could share your fertiliser routine for your queen pls. Yes mine's very pale. That is an old leaf too. So definitely there's some issue. I thought it was due to it being kept too close to a grow light. Thank for all your comments. They have always helped me 😇😌

Remember because your Anthurium Crystallinum has been in LECA for so long, you will need to keep the soil wetter than normal for awhile.

My experience with plants in water/LECA for to long they lose nutrients they don’t look well and they get rot. I put fertilizer in any plant in water when I change it out, but that said I just don’t think it’s good enough for Anthurium. They love Tree Fern Fiber, but they also love Molly’s. I have used both and they love it.
@CasualLeaves18 күн бұрын
Interesting! I’ll have to look into Tree Fern Fiber and Molly’s. Thanks for the tip! 🌱

I’m starting to believe that most Alocasia need to be potted up with multiple corms; otherwise, they do not get bushy. My Black Velvet is so slow and only has 2 leaves. Frydek is another disappointment for me.
