I would have much preferred if gear 5 was just the awakening of the GUM GUM fruit not the NIKA NIKA fruit. Before the reveal, I was never expecting a devil fruit awakening. Cuz the themes of Wano pointed to a clash between conqueror's. I was waiting for gear 5 reveal to be conqueror's haki related. But no, turns out it was some plot armour bullshit for Luffy. I like the design and style of the form, but the source of it is just BULLSHIT. Even Kaido was saying "if you don't have haki mastery, you ain't gonna succeed in this world." Ah no, kaido. Doesn't matter cuz being cool and epic >>> actually making sense in a narrative. What annoys me is how most one piece fans don't see it, they just accept anything oda throws at them at face value. Oda could take a crap and print it on paper and OP fans will rejoice. It's ok to criticize a writer, it's ok. OP is top 5 for me but I still get annoyed at Oda for making dumb decisions.

@@-tom-8720 If you don't think Kaido isn't evil you have clearly forgotten what Hell he and his Beast Pirates turned Wano into, starving the people in Kuri, subjecting them to the Smile Fruits (enabling Dolflamingo who works under him), murdering Oden in cold blood, etc. That makes him pretty damn evil.

@@PlanetZoidstar yes, kaido do sound evil but thats only happened in flashback, to make antagonist character seem and freshly evil to the audience, kaido need to be evil in the present days, - kaido legitly didnt kill orochi nor the 7 scabbard, he did cut one of those transgender samurai arm, but we all know law going to stitch it up later, - kaido also didnt torture anyone else in the present days like jack/ queen/ doflamingo did, - kaido attempt of threatening/ intimidate others became a plot convenience to simply revive the dead mc, there is no doubt kaido did prove himself as the strongest creature because of how easy he kept dominating the battlefield, but kaido FAILED to prove why he is an evil guy, at the end of the day, he aint the villain that need to be defeated like crocodile/doflamingo, kaido is just a stepping stone for luffy to be stronger, and thats is BORING for one piece villain standard

@@nickjohnson02 By that flawed (baffling) logic, Arlong was not evil because he never killed anyone outside of his flashback where he shoots Bellmere dead. He still terrorised a village, forced Nami into slavery, and colluded with the corrupt Marines to maintain his stranglehold over the village. Kaido still is responsible for alot of death and suffering during the Wano arc that we see play out in real-time. He rules Wano with an iron fist, forces its citizens into slavery, burns down an entire village (killing all the villagers, including Kine'mons wife), really you have to be delusional to see the entire Wano arc and think Kaido did nothing wrong. Jack and Queen are still Kaido's subordinates, anything they do is his fault, that's how leadership works. You are responsible for anything your lackeys do. Plot convenience or not, Kaido's threats and intimidation tactics still label him as a villain. Just because Kaido failed, doesn't mean he's not evil. He's more evil than Big Mom and she forces her subjects to donate their lifespan and she uses her own children as political marriage tools.

Not enough people realize how terrifying the pirate Charlotte Linlin is… many people think she’s noble for wanted to create a non discriminatory country but they don’t realize she literally forces those people to live there…we saw in her flashback when she was a little girl her going around and forcing people to either come with her and live in her country or die…in her deranged twisted mind she is a kind benevolent queen and she’s making the world better…she literally cannot comprehend why people disagree with her and seems them selfish..so much so that even her own children are terrified of her

@@mastergoku4321 linlin is a type of villain that can't smell their own shit. She is a failed joyboy. Happy, fun,laugh. That is quality of joyboy but Lin lin is very twisted. Same as kaido. Failed joyboy with his drunk ass mode.

I 100% agree. But I will say that I perdon don't think anything is set in stone as of yet. I'll forgive anything that happened so far if we get a really major and emotional death. As I said in a video it seems like he's playing a sort of death merry go round. Alluding to the fact that people could die all the time. And if the answer to that is Ashura Doji then that's a really unsatisfying answer. However... if it's someone like say Law. Then that's big enough to make up for all the impact lost

I agree with what you wrote. My biggest complain in Onigashima have been the fake deaths, there is no feeling of danger in Onigashima. I hope something grandiose happens at the end of Onigashima

@@chief_tenkaichi after rereading it , a Lotta things still feel unfinished and I know the arc isn't over but it feels like they are done forever. Like zoros plotline of killing orochi and leading the samurai was scrapped off which means that the act 2and Zou set up is still a waste of time because it took weeks of real time for no reason. Fights after reread go a bit better tho. I think that we got 70 chapters of fight which is way more than expected so with that perspective reading the fights were enjoyable and fights felt true to the strawhats. For a yonkou crew , tension wasn't met but I think the monster trio and Robin fights were masterfully well done. Jinbei and franky fights were good. I still have problems with the nami usopp fights. The most underrated one is the samurai fight. That was extremely well done and the anime, not only did well in terms of animation but also emotionally enhanced it. The new yonkou reveal and a Lotta other things like the smile reveal , yasuies death etc were all well done. I liked the fact that even tho the fights were small all enemies ( except Jack and page one ) were extremely creative with their devil fruits which made the fights exponentially better. Now looking at the pacing of the anime. The fights are gonna be extended a lot. So thats good. Wano in the anime even with pacing issues is a near 10. Manga is a 8 but it still has more to offer I suppose.
