Big Mom is my favorite yonkou and what I claim to be the most underrated villain in the whole story of One Piece. This video serves as an explanation and celebration of her character while still making a few jokes at her expense.

The twisted relationship of Big Mom and her children reminds me of greek mythology, and of Kronos and his children. A terrifying monster devouring its offspring, both figuratively (by using them as tools) and literally (remember what she did to Moscato?). There’s even the idea of cannibalism thrown around in her flashback. Having a Kronos-type character not only be a mother (she’s a big mom, after all) but a selfish, childish one too is what makes BM such a memorable villain, imo

I think the creation of Big Mom was a good idea on Oda’s part. It sets up Sanji’s tragic backstory and draws meaningful parallels between Big Mom and Germa. The whole theme of whole cake Island is disguised Mistreatment. It leads most of the characters in that arch including Sanji to get twisted in lies. Luffy meaningful breakthrough about friends never leaving your side breaks this whole concept and it why Luffy is such an important cornerstone in this arch. He yet again displays his ideals.

Dude idk why everyone goes crazy over people like doflamingo but big mom gets no respect. She’s the single most terrifying one piece villain in the whole series. An absolutely deranged old woman who’s own crew and family is as scared of her as her enemies are. SHES A CANNIBAL, AND ITS CANON. Every scene with her is TENSE, nobody knows what’s going to happen when she’s on screen. Is it gonna be comedy? Is she going to kill somebody? Is it both? It’s almost always both. All her singing scenes are like my favorite parts of whole cake

Exactly!! Not enough people realize how terrifying the pirate Charlotte Linlin is… many people think she’s noble for wanted to create a non discriminatory country but they don’t realize she literally forces those people to live there…we saw in her flashback when she was a little girl her going around and forcing people to either come with her and live in her country or die…in her deranged twisted mind she is a kind benevolent queen and she’s making the world better…she literally cannot comprehend why people disagree with her and seems them selfish..so much so that even her own children are terrified of her

@@mastergoku4321 linlin is a type of villain that can't smell their own shit. She is a failed joyboy. Happy, fun,laugh. That is quality of joyboy but Lin lin is very twisted. Same as kaido. Failed joyboy with his drunk ass mode.
