By placing the Adjusters in the middle of the Axle Housing you have rendered them useless for adjusting pinion angle and preload....Could have purchased non adjustable bars for 1/2 the price....Good Luck!

Going to be cool when done but just going to be another tri five at a car show like camaro, vette . Challenger , mustang. I own a survivor gasser from the 60s a 57 Ford fairlane 2dr hardtop econoline axle. Went through 4 of my brothers . It was the first car for all of them, and to this day a crowd pleaser. Good to see a young guy like you interested in old iron, keep going.

Kinda been inbetween projects, and waiting on parts, camaro is in storage, 55 waiting on engine to get done at the machine shop, and s10 i got rid off because I bought another project that I'd rather put the ls in, and I also had laptop issues and haven't gotten around to getting a new one

I used real deal steel for the floor, trunk, and inner quarters. Only problem i had was it was a little tight at the rockers so I had to pry them away from the floor to get it to go in. And I had to trim the floor at the wheel tubs because I put wider tubs in.

A new Subscriber.. I also built a Gasser but mine is a 57. I ended up keeping the original frame and added the Speedway Straight Axle kit. It worked out great.. using the original steering box and even the original frame shock mounts. Keep up the great work!

I'm in the process of building a 51 chevy gasser big tire car (33x15) you need a DIAGINAL LINK that connects from one lower ladder bar mount to the opposite sides front mount, to prevent the axle from moving side to side. A pan hard bar is not recommended with ladder bars and will push/pull the axle from side to side as the suspension moves up and down. It could end up steering the car really hard as it loads the suspension on launch or unloads on deceleration, which could cause a sudden loss of control or a potential accident. They are also mounted directly on top of the housing in its center line, the way you set up yours is just going to loosen and tighten the rod ends till they break or strip out the threads.
