Honestly, I don't blame if Daemon and Balthazar wanted to break down and cry. The thought of losing your beloved dose hurt, all they could do is hope that Christian and Julian will come back safe, sound, and with news of the soul gems.

Oh they need to get this right. Daemon and Balthazar would be absolutely broken if anything happened to the boys. Especially Daemon, potential of losing his one single fledgling would be too much.

Okay. But like. Julian's control slipping at the beginning is everything. He may not be the killing type. But he's a Vampire. Not just any Vampire. But the Vampire Prince as he said to Callie. He is Daemon's fledgling. You don't mess with Julian. He has the capability of snapping. And with vampire powers/abilities to boot. He is not one to underestimate.

It’s so easy for parents to vicariously live through their kids which Caden’s dad is sort of doing. I think it’s really sad that he clearly has lost a lot of passion for his job and has been so discriminated against and now it’s lead to this intense fervor to get Caden a territory. At the heart he just wants to keep Caden safe, but his own insecurities and disappointments are clouding his judgement about what’s actually best for Caden. Which is to let him stay right where he is and kiss his hunk of a friend? boyfriend? lover? future husband? Also Raythe you do a terrific exasperated teenage girl voice lol

The early days of Caden's change was so frustrating at how nobody considered what HE wanted. Even though I've heard it before, I still feel like shouting at the characters to leave Caden alone, even though they mean well. 😄

Frankly, I don't read your stuff to get off. I read it for the romance but most of all I read it for the story. I mean, I'm not mad that there's smut in it, far from it! But if you sent your characters to the bedroom and ended scene I wouldn't miss it.
