Is there a large Playing Card Oracle deck?

Hi Dolores. Thanks for your question. U.S. Games first published a larger deck but that's not in print anymore. The "vintage" Playing Card Oracles deck is sometimes available for certain special sales events. Make sure you are on the newsletter at ana cortez dot com

Thanks for giving an example of a year spread. It would be easy for simple questions as well. I follow along with the moon calander which is the mean calander. I have a perpetual moon calander that utilizes the 28 day cycle and the gragoroan calander. So even if 3 cards were the in the last week you could tell them exactly the date on the gragorian calander. I believe the 28 day cycle is the right calander. It's even and follows along with the calander of the bible. I've been using playing cards for divination almost since my tarot journey began. My first reading ever was when I was 14 years old and was with playing cards. Of course it was forbidden in my house but it foretold I would be married to a bald man and he would be my benefactor because he was older than I was. Now I'm married and have been for 6 blissful years to a bald man who's 22 years older than me. I completly put the reading out of my mind until I started doing tarot readings. But you get so many more people interested in this form of reading than tarot because it's a mundane object. I would love to review your book and deck on my channel. I can't wait to get a set.

@AnaCortez I put them both in my amazon cart. It's going to be a while before we can order them because we're financially strapped due to circumstances. But I'll post you when the video is out so you can see it. I'm going to do my best to detach from what I know of tarot because I do that with certain decks that aren't actually tarot decks even though their called that. Mostly because it's refreshing in the readings that you do get. So I like to treat systems differently.

I'm not sure if you will ever read this but must try. Haven't done cartomancy before but yes to tarot (yrs ago). Bought a new deck. While watching a movie tonight shuffled the deck and then intentionally forced cards opposite direction as it felt I should. After 45 minutes looked at the deck and EVERY single card was in the upright position. This cannot be?! How? Wasn't paying attention, just wanted to get feel of cards. Has this happened to anyone else?

Goodevening Ma'am, I had a question. How do I dispose/ discard ( sorry I don't know the proper terminology) my playing deck which is old now? Do I burn it? Bury it ? What should I do with the old decks?

Are you sure you want to dispose of your old deck? I always keep mine, but do as you feel is intuitively right for you.... Burning or burying, ceremony style, sounds fine. A good time would be on the coming Equinox :-))

They are actually pretty old and tearing apart... I love my old deck that's why I didn't do anything to them because I didn't want to do something without knowing the right way of disposing them ... I look at them and it makes me a tad bit sad, I don't want to be sad for one of the most amazing things in my life.

Hey Ana ❤ It's great! Is their any possibility, to order a single deck without book? PCO I got two Decks and one book; the Simlipith I would prefer a second time, but without book...I am too fast but I love Your Naga map 😊 so I start these days with Somlipith and one doesn't know, what will come...It's a new aera ... I pray for Peace! So what I have I have! It takes years to learn diciplin and don't lose enthusiasmus...So in the beginning - after Tarot - I wanted only use Pokercards then I saw PCO and I love it and with The Doors of Somlipith You change my attitude to pictures...it's hard work to learn the cards and new pictures, I just finished to learn PCO...and I've little praxis...so what can I do?!? I always have pokercards in my mind mixed with PCO and feeling touched from Simlipith...Sorry it's a long letter , but I've Problems! Thanks for reading and 💜 Heartly greetings 💜 Harald/ Germany

Hi Harald. Thanks for your question. Braille number cards sound really wonderful! Would help in getting more into the tactile aspect of the reading <3 Right now, there are no Doors of Somlipith decks without the book.... but sounds like you have solved the issue :-)) I love the idea of using standard playing cards along side the Doors of Somlipith Deck. I like to tell the story of how I learned to read playing cards using a standard bicycle playing deck. For years! It will speed up your learning process :-))

Ana, thank you for the video! Please tell me how to match the cards with the weeks of the year? I was looking for the answer in your calendar 36 gates, but in it the year is divided into 36 sectors of 10 days and not 52 weeks 😔 How can you understand which week of the year the dropped card indicates?

Hi and thank you for your question. When I am working with cards from a lunar perspective, so that each card is a week of time, the cards move around through the positions. What a singular monk had to say about the card deck, is rather meaningless. The deck stands it it is, and the court cards are not to be changed. You are attempting to make the deck confirm to modern views of DEI. When playing cards came into being, women only enjoyed power by virtue of the men the married, like it or not. So the number 10 is not a lady in waiting, or the queens attendant, or any other such nonsense. The Jack is the servant of both the King and Queen, and he was always male.

Hi John, thank you for your comment and for your more critical point of view. This always allows for good discussion :-)) I would say that if you know anything about my father's work, you know his illustrations of Lady Cards began in the late 70's, long before any social movement you make mention of. In fact my father's work never conformed to any social movement, quite the contrary. But thank you for your opinion. Certainly what a singular monk had to say is not "evidence", although I feel evidence is hardly necessary to work with the deck as one feels drawn to do. 10's certainly are out of place with root numbered cards and are intrinsically female from a numerological point of view. Absolutely logical/ mathematical to see them as female. and for card reading, it seems the answer to a long awaited prayer to include them within the ranks of the numerical heirarchy. No argument here. Thank you again for the opportunity to clarify.
