Fantastic review guys - thanks for a positive review, despite a lot of online negativity / "MEH" for the new Stumpy.

What’s your height and did you prefer s3 or s4? I’m 6ft 2 (188 cm?) and I’m at the top end of s4 and middle of s5. What do people TYPICALLY do?

@@kentao4 s4 easy. Im 185,5 and s4 easy choice. No one wants to ride a bike that feels like a bourdain. Every pro in enduro downsizes if they're between, more manageable. And the bikes are so solid you dont need the extra "stability" that a bigger size offers. Also too long geo ur fukt but a bit on the small side stems and saddle placement will help you

I'm 194cm and I got the S5. If you just look at the size chart I would be on an S6 but if you use their calculator on the website, they get you to measure the length of your tibia and then it recommended S5 for me which suited me just fine because I wanted a bike that was a bit more nimble and playful rather than long and bus-like. I have been enjoying the S5, it feels good, not too small at all and feels sporty.

@@The.JZA. thanks for this. I guess my issue is the chain stay is different from s5 to s4 whereas they are the same from s6 to s5. I have gotten on an s4 but not pedaled around. Feels a bit small (knees close to handle bars esp when turning) but I have the s5 in a stumpy evo and that feels like a bike bike. I’m trying to understand what TOO small looks and feels like before I pull the trigger.

@@kentao4 I am 188cm and i downsized my previous spez camber (to a size L) and regretted it - always felt like I was on top of the bike, never in it (if that makes sense). My new Epic Evo is XL and i absolutely love it - it just feels right: planted and maneuverable.
@kentao4
@kentao4 7 күн бұрын
@@nl3712i had an epic evo and it was definitely right with xl. Even though I have the s5 stumpy evo, I still question it for that bike. I’ll likely end up going s5 again but just want to make sure as I can’t keep buying mountain bikes lol.

Really good bike for the price, and like you said its weight against other trail bikes its uncomparable. I only had one issue after 1 month i’ve been using it and its that the cable from the rear brake moves along with the frame when the suspension its working and it makes a sqweeky noise even when pedaling inside the main frame tube. Besides that detail its an amazing bike, really recommend it👌🏼

i ride rocky, loose over hard and sometimes hardpack at the parks. i have tried and tested about 7 or 8 (enduro type) front tires over the past year/1.5 dhf-mazza-kryptotal-vigilante-verdict-magic mary-griffus-martello the all around best tire i've ridden, that absolutely caught me off guard since i didnt pay much mind to the brand for over 4 years.. is the clear winner: VEE ATTACK HPL in the Full 40/gxe casing. front tire on my spindrift, and it's just magical in all conditions.

What is the size of the tacky chan? I can't find 2.5s on the website. Also what fender were you uying on the dvo fork? Was it a bolted one? Looking to upgrade to a diamond d1 sl and I hope to find a longer bolt on fender than the stock one.

I appreciated the video. Thank you. It seems like no one wants to talk about weight. I know most of these entry level eMTB's seem to be around or over the 26kg mark, but it's still nice to know. I clicked on your link above for the written review and it lists the weight as 74kg. Must be a typo eh? Do you know the weight of the bike as tested?
@bakpaky
@bakpaky 24 күн бұрын
74kg is the test rider weight. The weight of the bike itself is 25.8 kg (56.9lbs)

Thanks for this review I'm looking at getting a full suspension e bike and keep coming back to this particular model, it does seem to tick all the boxes for me but one thing I want to ask is can you still use it as a normal bike should the battery go flat mid ride? Probably a bit of a silly question but I've seen lots of comments elsewhere with a strong emphasis on battery life and it being pretty good. Thanks
