FYI- You can get the medium in a 29er. Excellent review, and with the stock components, I believe you are spot on. However, I just bought this bike a couple of months ago, rebuilt it with my favorite components, and I have got to say, that this is the BEST mountain bike I've ever ridden! And that says a lot considering that my last bike was $4500 dollar Spot Rocker, and the one before that was a $5000 dollar Banshee Paradox V3. The frame of this bike is amazing! The geometry is excellent for trail riding, and XC/racing too! In fact, within my last two rides, I am breaking all of my past records that I set with my Spot Rocker, and my Giant XTC Advanced. Keep in mind, I did add a carbon wheelset, full Shimano XT drivetrain, and a Fox 34 Step Cast fork. But, the bike has something those other bikes don't have, and that is playfulness. This bike feels like a BMX bike, made for big kids. No kidding. I am a 56 year old man, and I found myself jumping again, and I haven't done that in years. One other notable mention is the compliance, this bike has a very smooth and comfortable ride. It is truly an excellent bike. Cheers!!

This bike is $900 US in the.. US. I bought one to have at my parent's house. I like it better than my much more expensive regular ride. Great way to get into the sport and you sure can do a lot with it.

Very different bike though! Marin Team 1 for the XC/fast trail frolics, Norco Fluid HT2 for the trail baller.

29" on the XL. Only the medium frame size gives ypu a wheel size choice. M-XL are 29", smaller sizes are 27.5". If you're on a medium you may prefer 27.5" but Norco really have their geo dialled with 29" wheels. They're also a little better rolling over rougher terrain.

Hey is this bike tubeless ready? Seems like there is conflicting info based on the tire model provided but somehow the ones stock arent tubeless ready.

I had to use rim tape and get TR tyres for mine. The Ardents that come with it are not TR.

They do! Mediums come in both 27.5" and 29" in the Fluid HT range.

I have the 27.5 version of the Medium and really like it. There is a 29r Medium version.

The Rocky is a slacker and burlier bike - so if you're really taking on the steeps it may be better.
