I understand why religious folks get riled up when they hear this man . He's awesome !

One of the most outstanding abilities of Hitchens was to be so well read.Even the books that his opponents used against him as proof of their religions he had read. What with Chomsky’s on his last legs, the World needs many more like them.

The way he never let them hide on or behind their false moral high ground for even a second was inspiring. Thanks to him, the religious in my family either walk away or don't bother bringing up religion/god. Both are fine with me.

As an Ex-Christian. I feel and understand the hitch slap. The church LIED to humanity for nearly 2,000 years and people still keep their heads in the dark hole of the 'Dark Ages' of religion. Utter Evil!

The term sheep when describing humans has and will always be derogatory to me. Slaves to our biology for sure, but I am not capable of a belief that would compliment me as a sheep. It really makes me wish I could visit other planets to see how other complex life evolved, and if they developed a need for theism at all.

That's perfectly normal. For them, faith does not require evidence. But you should shove this in their face - that they don't actually care what's real or not.

I like him a lot, but his take on God and his take on philosophy clearly shows that he did not study Leibniz; not a small taint if you are a writer...

What a loss to the world when he died. I really get his acerbic and irascible manner, it's not possible to put these thoughts 'nicely', some abuses transcend polite speech and any offense taken defines the problem further.

I’ve wasted most of my life in cults so I didn’t even meet Hitch until a few years ago after his death. What a shame for me. My freedom of thought or at least an attempt at free thinking hasn’t occurred until my 8th decade of life. Better late than never I guess. Love this guys recordings and books that helped me find myself.
