Hi there. Thank you for your uploads! Keep up the great content. Can I ask you a question about the PS5 motherboard please? I just want to know what resistance readings there should be on the APU capacitors?? Nowhere and no video gives a clear answer on this. People say this area is very low impedance...but I'm getting a short to ground on lots of these capacitors and also the row of 6 coils next to the APU. The 12V input line is not shorted, but console turns on with one beep, fan spin then straight off. Have you ever seen this? Many thanks.
@itfixall7 ай бұрын
Hello, sorry for the late reply. I will make a video with the resistance values soon. There is low ohm resistance there anyway, and it might not be a short circuit. I have seen similar issues. In some cases, it could be the APU, but I would suggest checking the HDMI encoder ic capacitors.

i couldn't believe it when you put it back together without testing the power first 😅 isopropyl alcohol is also just called 'IPA' if you want to shorten it isopropyl is pronounced "eye so pro pull". it's an odd word. I have a very similar model HP AIO in parts on my bench right now, thanks for the detailed work and process!

@itfixall I got E7470 not charging. I have checked this MOSFET when I plugged the power and pulled out the battery, I found the gate voltage is equal to the S voltage (about 13v). Gate to source voltage is 0. And D's voltage is 0. So the MOSFET is working correctly. Just the Gate voltage is not right. Can you tell what the gate voltage should be?
@itfixall6 ай бұрын
Hi, in your case, I suppose it is a battery issue, 13v on the gate, it should be all right as far as I remember.

nice one but use some more flux to solder that cap
@bangarangJones Жыл бұрын
What were the two compounds you put on the connector pins before removal? Solder paste and flux?
@itfixall Жыл бұрын
I add fux then solder paste. Doing this is an excellent practice as it will make the port more manageable to remove.

And please buy profesional adhesives. This adhesives are bacis models 9448A is not proffesional glue for screens. Are 0,15mm this Lenovo screens start on 0,2 - 0,3mm 10´inch tablets. Work as proffesional when you wont upload videos on youtube. Chinese market sell adhesives in roll cut. Profi are in sheets normaly. With basic adhesives you will have reclamations after 6 months by unstick.@@itfixall

Hi, thank you for the video. I want to replace my d15 usb-c charging port too but have no experience with laptop repairs. I have some questions about what your process was. It seems like you first de-solder the original joints and then use a heat gun to pry away the connector. Then you place the new usb-c connector and use some kind of soldering wire to jump the pins together? Please let me know if this is correct and what tools I would need for this job (what wire did you use, what is the gel that is used, do I need flux gel, etc.) Thank you.

Can you explain why everyone else is grinding the original chip away? And why you heat it up so much that it melts at 5:15 ? Why not just unsolder it?
@itfixall Жыл бұрын
As I said in the video, I was using 320C, and the LCD replacement screen had a plastic cover that melted. I am not grinding on these types of screens.
