I'm thinking about it building a social media app. I haven't figured out which way to go with coding or not. I'M STILL LEARNING ABOUT WHO'S GOING TO OWN THE RIGHTS TO THE DESIGN, and the app I will subscribe to your channel to learn more. i might have to hire someone to do this for me. Thanks Tyrome

I love your job, but please... MOBILE FIRST or MOBILE ONLY 80% of the audience are on mobile... and you don't show any design for it ? Realy ? Is it 2025 or 2015, 2005 web design ?

Jesse, I just wanted to say that your video editing and attention to details is top notch. It's impressive how much effort do you put in editing of your videos. That tripple zoom in and then zoom out synchronized with wording at 3:19 and those colorful accents 8:30 in the background are so cool. It makes watching your videos so much more captivating and engaging :)

I think a lot of motion designers are migrating to UI design and bringing those principles into the industry so websites are starting to have much more movement. Many motion designers jump at the idea of creating designs that people can interact with rather than passively glance at.

I agree and I’m so excited for the direction and intentionality that motion design is heading towards. Thanks for watching!!

Did you film this all in one take? I feel you have little to no cuts at all in this video aside for the sponsor bit. 😮 So well spoken, I feel I fumble through my lines all the time. 😂

I'm at the stage where I'm starting my channel and I just started filming, I'm cringing at how bad my messes up are. I'm thankful you documented your journey because I now can relate to how you got so good at making your content. Anyway, I've been a subscriber of your channel for quite a while. I'm coming linkedin as a small creator trying to do video consistently.

Love the bento! I do think I have a hard stop 🛑 at labeling left rail icons. A11y is so important, I gotta have text on every nav element along with clear paralleled states for each page header. Or at the very least shown aria labels for a screen reader to track, with some breadcrumbs.

Hey Jessie, I’m following a design champ about to do a video to go into my past history as a designer, but I just wanted to leave a note here. I find it interesting that I’ve been trying to put God at the center of my life while developing myself as a UXUI professional. Growing past your limitations, getting over those hurdles in life following a new career path can be like moving a mountain at first it doesn’t budge. It seems impossible, almost maddening to think that you could do such a thing. But then you find through Christ all things are possible and if you focus on him long enough, you start to attract other people that have the same love as you do. At that point, everything becomes easier. It’s good to identify a problem feel the problem through and through, but most importantly, we must have compassion and love a type of curiosity like a child that is playful, which only comes from connecting to the source. Anyway, kind of deep right? Well there it is I asked dad for a mentor and you just kept on coming up as the number one person I should follow not knowing that you are a man of faith. No matter what my path takes with you or the training or anything for that matter, I am grateful for your insights. OK now I’m just rambling on hey thanks a lot Jesse you’re the best!

The money doesn’t come back to us when large companies acquire smaller ones. It increases the concentration of power into a few number of hands. Monopolies don’t make for the best products or the best job market.

omg, such an insightful conversation, loved it! Do you have any tips for someone just starting in this field? Should we focus on investing time in a versatile prototyping tool that works across various segments, or is it better to concentrate on theoretical concepts until the field stabilizes a bit more? Or would you recommend learning the tools anyway, even though they might change dramatically with AI, and just keep adapting?

Don't restaurants pay like two dollars an hour? And they're wondering why people don't wanna work there? Yeah: Tipped employees: The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requires that tipped employees receive at least $2.13 per hour in direct wages, plus tips that equal at least the federal minimum wage.

Started freelancing full time in 2014 and while I’ve had sustained success, it’s hard to generate income. Networking and nurturing relationships is the most important part of the job. Also… everything eventually comes to an end. I’ve had BIG clients that brought me a lot of money over the course of 5 years, but keep in mind these things do exhaust out as people leave and dynamics change. Wish y’all luck.

I haven't spent much time on Graphic Design since 2015, so I know alot has changed. If you know Adobe Creative Suite, Affinity, and open source like Inkscape etc. Where does Figma come into play? Why would I want to use it or the best way to integrate it into a workflow these days if I'm most focused on digital /print marketing collateral, and WordPress websites?
