Hi, the cat was left in place whereas the EGR was later mapped out with software

@Adam_G I dont want to sh*t on the car, its a good car and I drive volvo myself. He says its one of the cars they work with the most, beeing a lot of different electronical issues.

I suggest searching your engine code, followed by EGR blanking plates, eg. BKD, CRCA etc

You have to use the Forscan application to adapt the egr parameters.That can be done by someone who has diagnostics with it or on a laptop via obd input.

just looking at this now ive got the delete kit and wondering what size plates are required for the cooler as mine came with one. ill be removing the whole set but want to know if i need more blanking plates and sizes before i start taking it apart

Hi mate. Late reply but regardless of whether removing the cooler or leaving it on, only two plates required, one for inlet and one for outlet. I bought the plates on Ebay based on the engine code. Cheers.

If it's not appearing on your phone, the Bluetooth module may not be powered on, check the power connectors

The issue with the reverse camera is well known on this models. I had one and with practice and testing I came to the conclusion is because of temperatures. Low temp the electronics works, high tempo it does not. There are some kits to correct it but way too expensive. Other than that, is the only defect I could point to my V60. Best car ever !

@@Adam_G Yes it did work better in Winter, but if left the car in sunny days, it will eventually fail. Worth mention, I live in Portugal. I sold the car and still regret it 🙂

Buy a EGR delete kit - it gets rid of that metal pipe. Blank off the the cooler .

Found that getting rid of the pipe made the thin blanking plate warp with exhaust pressure and leak gas, so I ended up reusing the cut off pipe flange to clamp the plate onto the cooler.

Quick question. I got a BKD aswell, and since i blocked off my EGR I noticed NO fault codes or anything? Do you perhaps know if its possible that the first generations of the 2.0 TDI PD did not monitor EGR? (my car also does not come with a DPF from factory)

Hi, there's a chance the EGR was already programmed out, otherwise the ECU normally throws a fault when insufficient flow is detected

Hi Adam. I have an Audi A8 d3 with phone cradlle in the armrest but no phone. If I press the telephine button it says like in ur video that the tel might not be properly attached. Does this kit will work for bluetooth calls as well? And also can we use original mics from the car? Good video and explanations. Thumb up.

I did it to connect the phone but just for calls, it didnt have the function to put music from phone. But i have another problem. I have an Mercedes ML with optical fibre for music. Can i change the original navigation with one after market without the optical fibre jack? If The optical fibre is not insterted in the navigation, there is no sound in the speakers.

If you have a 3.0 polestar yes if it’s a 2.0 twincharged model still yes but i understand the fear of unreliability

@@joshbull6467 they’re holding their value very well compared to the D6’s (which are holding value quite well as well to be honest) but be aware that you’ll only be saving money on fuel and tax really with the D6. The hybrid system can fail and is an expensive fix, insurance and other running costs like tires are nearly as expensive as the polestar sadly and while for a diesel this thing sounds great it doesn’t compare to that beautiful 3.0. Maybe if budget allows keep your polestar as an “investment” and weekend car and get something like a D2 V40 as a daily

I've had mine sitting for 1.5 years with a full tank so u think the gas is still good or should I remove it ?

Fuel actually has a shelf life of few months, after which it begins to degrade. I'd drain it and fill it up with fresh fuel just in case, to avoid ignition-related engine problems

Yes, did coding, changed value from 1 to 5 and coding got accepted. But think i need to update my RNS-E. I have the old type with CD/TV button and SW:0600, after what i have read i need SW:0650 to make AUX work. What SW does your unit have?

i quite like this car. I own it for a year. Diesel heater is amazing too in cold winter days. It would be close to perfect if there was a choice to charge EV battery on save mode when on >50% capacity. The charging system is also a little outdated and sensitive to current disruptions but otherwise this car feels premium and more like a concept car I would dare to say

I must agree with everything you said, it's a shame the on-road charging only goes up to a fraction of full capacity and it does not support higher amperage chargers

Mine is a similar cheap-o unit, but it doesn't have a button to pair the remotes.. there is no obvious pins to short either, so I am not really sure how to proceed. Anyone had a similar find?
