The very recent renovation of this home equates to vandalism. This home was absolutely stunning and from what i could see virtually flawless. What were they thinking? A work of art destroyed.

Are you sure? I live in one of the cottages next to the castle opposite Bass rock and im sure its just the lighthouse and a small out building on Bass rock. But id love it if what your saying is true..

I know the location can be worked out fairly easily from snippets in the commentary, but it would be very helpful - especially for foreign visitors - if you said at the beginning something like "the castle xx miles east of Edinburgh on the Firth of Forth".This sort of information, which only takes a very few words, is something I find is missing from many videos - more important than background music, some might say !

The King is clearly a man of impeccable taste. The house is magnificent. It appears to be overpriced for the area though. Even reduced by 20 million dollars and is still sitting on the market a year later.

The White Elephant house that everyone thinks is Magnificent but no one who can afford wants is now 19 million and dropping. the carrying costs of by-gone mansion opulence are blistering, indeed. 500 grand minimum annually. so who would be the next owner? not a common billionaire, they want towers in the sky with full service luxury. a foreign dictator, although they are becoming rarer of late. a mega lotto winner, someone coming into a lot of money quick. a large family, even rarer than the dictator. embassy or club? company headquarters perhaps? National register and Landmarked will severely limit use. i know, a migrant center like the Pakistani owned Roosevelt hotel at least until the deportations begin...
