Gifting subs on a streamer's first playthrough DURING the cutscenes is kinda rude. Wait until the cutscenes are over, they miss things.

Going through with Volo's tadpole removal attempt is actually a sort-of good thing to do, if you can stomach the images of how he does try it. The writers and the animators did really go all out with it though, didn't they. (they may have taken Elminster's preface to Volo's Guide to Baldur's Gate 2 a bit literally: "Volo is better at immersion than that he is at extraction". Yeah, we have become aware of that, mister Aumar, very, very, very aware ;-) )

Volo is such a fun character: an unreliable storyteller is perfect for a world meant for players to make their own stories. There a quite a few (real world) books "written by Volo", but gamemasters can easily just decide for themselves if where Volo is telling the truth and where he is mistaken or confabulating. What never becomes apparent in BG3, so, no spoiler here, is that, unbeknownst to even himself, Volo is a Chosen of Mystra. Which is one of the reasons why Elminster keeps putting up with him (Elminster did polymorph him into a frog once, though) By the way, the Mountain Pass is very much doable- if you could handle those githyanki, you will be able to handle the Mountain Pass- but some quest lines forcefully end when you enter there- if you do not first save (or betray) the Tieflings, for example, the druid ritual will conclude and the Emerald Grove will no longer be accessible. So the warning is mostly a "do be sure to tie up all loose ends before you proceed"

Auntie's lair is brutal, isn't it ;-) I usually like going very slowly through the noxious cloud area. The vents in the middle of them are very hard to disable with sleight of hands (and are also in the middle of a noxious cloud ;-) ), but throw something heavy on them like a leather armor or even just a heavy stone, and the cloud will disappear. Unless Scratch is with you, because Scratch loooooves playing fetch. The area before that is a really fun one. I love that you tried on one of the masks (after reading "don't wear the mask don't wear the mask don't wear the mask, hihi), but one way to get past the door without killing the person "in" it as well as the masked servants is to have the party don the four masks that can be found before the illusionary door. They can be taken off again after Ethel is defeated. It does add an extra complication, but in a Good-aligned run it can be fun to strive for all innocents to live 🙂 And yeah, a bottle of water is the easiest way to save Mayrina from the fire. Not the only one, by the way, there is a control orb on the other side of the chasm that can also help solve the situation. It is a bit out of the way of where the combat is likely to take place though, so in a masked scenario, you wiould only be fighting with three party members, and everybody in theparty must make a will save every round or be dominated by Auntie. Chaos guaranteed!

To simply knock out the enemy, below hotbar, passive tab to select non-lethal combat( only works with melee weapons). You get the XP for winning the fight and you can loot. And that enemy lives.
