This scene should have remained. It would have put a great spark in a somewhat pitiful movie. Sort of like having a horrible round of golf, yet getting a birdie on the last hole.

This is the first time I've seen this scene. It should have been kept in as it was a superb ending to the TNG franchise (well, apart from Picard but who knew at that time that would happen)!

The idea of the scene was for another story line if the cast would remain the same. The only missing character is Data. The Nemesis should have never ended. The Picard should have resumed with the ending sequel.

Probably not canon at this point, but could be with the right story and the first officer stepping aside to have Worf become first officer. Otherwise, i choose to believe after Nemesis, Worf became first officer, Geordi second and they had some females on the bridge so that the E was not a sausage fest.

If you want to ever understand what went wrong with the final TNG movie. It was the decision to cut scenes like this, and keep the general story of the movie.

One problem with this scene....theyre going to explore the DENEB system, a place where noone has gone before.....except....they were on Deneb IV in the very FIRST episode of TNG!

That's why Raffi was a mismatched character in "Picard." Jean-Luc would've been very annoyed with her lack of respect for command hierarchy and blunt speaking manner. She did mellow somewhat during S3 when she was paired with Worf. I think she did manage to learn a thing or two from him (besides Klingon martial art).
