TBH it's not like a scene like this would fit the tone there, but that kind of is a problem with a story with no relief like this, how can you get closure when it's a show revolving around red weddings? We never ever got to see the ordinary lives of people in Westeros. There's one small scene later on in GOT where a musical stage production about political events happens and it struck me that it was the first time we had seen just ordinary lives happening not as part of the plot. GOT intrinsically had a problem with being too dour for it to end satisfyingly I think. The Walking Dead was a lot closer to Lost than GOT and had scenes like this.

IMO the best Lost couples are: - Penny and Desmond (the epic story of star crossed lovers). - Rose and Bernard (honestly they are relationship /retirement goals. Fight occasionally but only occasionally and otherwise have no drama that drives/interferes with the plot). - Jin and Sun (a rollercoaster of emotions. You start off thinking it’s not a healthy relationship but they actually work through their problems and their bond gets stronger as a result and the viewer gets more invested).

Rose and Bernard are my favourite! Inspiring! I'm 38 and I lost my first boyfriend of 13 years to an accidental overdose. I have been in other relationships. But I am really working on me and my mental health. The reason I love this relationship so much is because it inspires me to find love again. I'm not ready yet. But when I am - I would love to find someone who makes me feel like these two do. It's the most simple and beautiful love story on Lost!

I caught this back when you had to send in for Netflix DVDs, so I'd sit up at night and smoke out and binge the shit out of them. Then be royally pissed when I got to the last one and had to wait for more.

No Cindy Zack and Emma survived too, it's just that they weirdly kept appearing with no resolution later on. It's not even clear if they're brainwashed or what when they show up in seasons 3 and 6.
