I just quickly read the description and imagine something without knowing the description (because I read it too fast) and then when I have time I look for a fan art about the character

YA authors keep trying to write assassins when they actually just want to write rogues

One time, a character in a book I was reading was black with dark hair and eyes, and for the longest time, I imagined them as white, blonde, and blue-eyed. I felt so dumb and I couldn't for the life of me change how I imagined them in scenes lol

Want a great book that is NONE of those thing, is written in the last 15 ish years and will leave you enthralled begging for more? ....... John dies at the end, by Jason Pargin or his pseudonym David Wong. The movie sucks lol.

That was me in detention after school. (I had detention for being late to class. I was in the library checking out books most of the time). And then I used my detention time to.....quietly read.

This happens so often with houses and where people live in books! Especially after reading other books the description mingles with the previous book making it so confusing to imagine 😭

The YA on is totally giving off Paedyn from Powerless kind of vibes. Sure she wasn't an assassin but that's definitely what she does

You use men as ammo more than Taylor swift. You should read adult fiction, not just YA. Also, what is your OF?

The way we all know that the black characters were described as having "chocolate skin" is hilarious, meanwhile, white characters never get described as 'vanilla skinned'

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is a prime example of how not to write a depressed person! Also, I’m curious about a possible women writing men series. I’m writing a few fanfics (just for fun, not to post online) and I wanna see what heinous sins I’m accidentally writing, if any.

As a white person it was always weird to me how white skin was compared to like pearls or ivory and then black/colored skin was compared to fucking chocolate😭like I’d like to see authors switch it up lol. I wanna see a white character called like “her skin was the shade of spilled milk” LMAOOO

I think the Cassandra Clare ones (the Shadowhunter Chronicles) would be an *okay* one for what she’s looking for (mainly the Mortal Instruments series). Might just be my personal opinion, but they don’t check those (very picky) boxes all that much…
