were is the old one, an 150 dollars you get what you get a new real quad Q jet card are a lot more..😎💯👍fix the old one

All you needed was to replace the choke pull off on your original carb. And have a ( competent ) old school mechanic reset the choke. Also may need to check the heat sink choke spring on the intake. Not that difficult but no offense intended. Not many actual carb tuners left. Especially Quadrajets

Just a respectful suggestion..When you receive a carburator..I would not keep flipping it upside down with any possible force to check it...The float inside could be disrupted...I am glad your truck is running better...Take your old carburator for spare parts until you want to have it professional reman..The throttle shaft brass bushings are known for vacuum leaks...

I’ve got my Dad’s 86 C20. He bought it new. I’ve had it for 30 years now. Funny, how it’ll always be Dads truck. I’ll keep that carb in mind. Have the same on mine. In the process of swapping out the original 350 for a new one from GM Performance 350/357hp. The original one was rated at 165hp. Didn’t like it up in Colorado at 6500’. It was tired at 140k mi. So I have the new motor. Had a new tranny put in last summer and we gutted and rebuilt the rearend. So it’ll last me another 30 years. 👍

New Springs look nice, but I don’t like that. They extended your wheelbase by an inch. The old-school racers would decrease the wheelbase. I like the idea of moving the front spring forward an inch if it’s possible how did it affect your driveshaft length? Is it too short now? Nice car!
