Thanks for this. However, cant you just print the image on Cricut print then cut, then laminate the sheet, then cut? This seems like a really long way to do it. Unless it's specifically because you wanted the border, and didn't want it to be a paper border around each print.

Wait a dang minute. When you uploaded and erased the hearts how in the world did you slide the page left & right?? I spent hours on this the other day and even call tech support and could not figure out how to go left & right. Up & down has a slider bar.

It depends what you are using the design for. If you are making t-shirts you normally mirror HTV. However if you are using printable HTV, you don't normally need to mirror.

Hi I’m new to all this. I would love to make the bird bookmark with the layers but I’m getting very stuck and mixed up. Wondering if you can give me some help I have downloaded and put the bookmark into Design Space. Change the colours to what I would like them to be, but don’t know how to merge the black and the grey Cannot find the word merge. Is there another word for it? Also do you print the images to get the colour you want or do you use coloured card stock? I’m guessing you print them but as I’m new to this I may have it all wrong have watched your other video on laminating but it doesn’t quite bridge the gap haven’t got that far yet. Would be happy if I could get some info on this lot first ? Thanks the confused, beginner🙏

You made that so complicated....just place an orange shape behind the tiger. Slice the letters out of the white rectangle and place it on top of the tiger. Then flatten.

@@PocketWondersso you are saying just one cut out color? I cut the picture in half b4 I uploaded. Then I cut the words out of the right side and did 2 different color off sets. I then flattened it to the right side and added the left side afterwards.

I had to go back on the site to explain my issues. I split it in half. I typed the words and put them in the picture. When I sliced I then had a black one and the one with the actual picture background. I did an offset of the black one. So now I have the pic background and the white offset and the black. I got lost after that so I flattened them making sure all 3 colors showed in the outline and then I inserted back in the picture. I was really jerryrigging!

I have a color laser printer also. I find this too complicated. What I do is I print out my designs on a printer. Then I take that page, laminate it, then put the laminated sheet on my Cricut mat, then send that through the Cricut. Cuts perfectly.

What works for me is a tiny dot of glue on the back of the paper pieces, stick it down gently on the laminate sheet. They won’t move around so much and it doesn’t affect the laminating.

Yes, this tutorial shows you how to separate the layers so you can cut each layer in a different colour. If you are looking for print and cut you can just load the image in and select that at upload instead.
