The cork is genius! I like it better than anything else I've seen used. And the mod podge photo is super cool too! 🙂

Could you possibly do a video on how to upload free fonts? I've tried several times to download them on my Cricut via phone and PC but can never get them to actually use. Love these ornaments. Genius 😉👍

This is a great idea! Can the cork be cut with the cricut as well? If so, do you need to use a special type of blade or a certain kind of cork?
@PocketWonders
@PocketWonders 4 жыл бұрын
Yes! I used the rotary blade but you could probably manage with the fine point blade. The only problem with the fine point blade though if that it won't but as smooth as you will likely have some chipping in the cork.

@@PocketWonders ditto Bonnie, what type of cork did you use? And what about machine settings to have the right pressure with the rotary tool to cut through the cork and which mat do you put the cork on?
@PocketWonders
@PocketWonders 4 жыл бұрын
@@NASCAR_Wrestling_Fan I used ones I found at the dollar store, but these are similar: amzn.to/2JR9LkP Strong Grip mat (for cork sheets): amzn.to/2GNdv5K Setting: Faux Suede with Rotary blade on Cricut Maker You can also use the Cork, Adhesive Backed setting on the Explore Air 2 under custom settings

Tell me how to upload a regular pic. I tried and all I get when I preview in the upload area is a gray box.
@PocketWonders
@PocketWonders 4 жыл бұрын
What format is your picture in? When you upload the photo it should prompt you to save it as a print then cut or a cut only file. You need to save it as a print then cut. Note that you can't print then cut on the Joy or using an Android phone

What paper did you use. Is this way better than water slide?
@PocketWonders
@PocketWonders 4 жыл бұрын
I used regular printer paper. Regular paper works best with this because it is thin so the mod podge can soak it. Water slide will likely be "clearer" but should also work well.

The reds in my picture are running when I add mod podge. Do you have an suggestions to help me with that?
@PocketWonders
@PocketWonders 4 жыл бұрын
Try dabbing the mod podge on instead of using brush strokes. You could also put more on the tile initially so most of the glue is on the back side instead of the front. Let me know what works for you!

This is a great idea! Thank you for the tutorial. Where can I get the template of the shape? When I uploaded mine (from google) into CDS, it cuts off one of the corners. Thanks for your help! :)

Can I do this on cricut joy?
@PocketWonders
@PocketWonders 4 жыл бұрын
The Cricut Joy can't print then cut but what you could do is change your "machine setting" to "Maker" and then follow the design steps. Then on the "Make it" screen, it will allow you to print it even though you don't have a Maker hooked up. You could then cut it out by hand since it's not too complicated a design. Then proceed with the mod podge steps. Hope this helps!

I use a Brother colour laser printer which gives it a "washed" look. Any colour printer would be fine for the project! :)
