Hi, just grabbed the pdf & love it. Just a quick clarification on the “Blind” rules. A Blind combatant suffers a 66% miss chance on direct attacks, assuming they can narrow down the target’s location by some means.” How does that translate to the d20 attack roll? Can you give an example. Maybe I’m just having a slow day
@pickpocketpressrpgvideos66553 күн бұрын
Hi ShadowC, glad you're liking it so far :D For Blind you make your usual d20 attack roll and also a d100 roll (perhaps at the same time). If you roll 66 or less the attack auto misses, even if the attack roll would normally be a hit. Hope this helps!

While I am a fan of using Oracles in an RPG, such as the Mythic GM Emulator... I can not stand dice with symbols that complicate the results. Is this a small number of possible symbols to translate? Yes. Does it slow down the process? Yes... which was even shown in this video with how the creator had to spend a few moments to decipher the meaning. For me personally, a really simple yes/no/maybe system (literally the words yes/no/maybe on the face), or an easily identified percentage system of over/under a particular number, is so much easier and keeps the momentum of the game going. Even with that said, I do hope that your kickstarter went well.
@pickpocketpressrpgvideos66555 ай бұрын
Keith the Y symbols are yeses, and the N symbols are no's - very easy to interpret the yes/no aspect. What might take time is the skull (misfortune) or sun (fortune), but you could always of course not use that die if you like. And thank you the KS went very well! :D
@keithmathews46055 ай бұрын
@pickpocketpressrpgvideos6655 I am glad that it went well. Still not a fan of symbols on dice... numbers or words are much easier to understand and keep things moving forward in a game... as I said earlier... like what is in Mythic GM. Clearly, everyone has a personal leaning towards one way or the other.
@spocktavian2 ай бұрын
People process things differently. I count myself among a population of many that don't struggle with simple symbolic associations. So I love these dice.
@ozymandrokles8171Ай бұрын
The symbols look cool and are easy to interpret. Dice with yes & no printed on them would look boring, and I'm sure someone most likely already makes dice like that.
