Steve might think of Pete as a loser but I’d say he has it decent. He’s a teacher whose students respect him.

Met the man about 14 months b4 what happened happened. Talked on the phone about doing a song I had written and pitched to him. I just looked up his address in Hollywood; he called immediately. What a total shock. We had a long conversation, made some plans to meet again after a tour. Just a beautiful man who stayed there for every autograph and every picture with fans. Never forgot his roots. Took nothing for granted. Wonderful man

Do you auditions for all four of the monkeys were horrific questions that have absolutely nothing to do with what the end means. Worry about absolutely stupid.

I can tell from reading through the comments section that everyone hates the interviewer. The guy asking him the questions is series creator and producer Bob Rafelson. Some of the questions he's asking may seem a bit rude and abrasive but it's all being done deliberately to gauge Davy's reactions and how he handled it. They needed to find out if Davy was sensitive about being short because it was a question that was obviously going to be coming up a lot in real interviews down the line. Plus a great many jokes on the show would be about him being short. Say what you will but the guy knew what he was doing. He made the Monkees stars. (He died in July 2022)

Davy had a horse farm not far from where I live here in Central Pa. He spent quite a bit of time there. He was active in the community and could be seen often doing daily things.

Adorable..I had a crush on him in the 80's&90's. For my graduation gift in 96' my mom&daddy took me to a Monkees concert at six flags. I walked down to the front stage and made eye contact with Davy while he was singing, he looked away for a second then looked back at me&winked. One of the highlights of my life.

I remember the Monkeys. They were all charming. Both my sister and I liked their music, and I watched their TV show. The show was kind of silly, but that beats all of the crappy shows made nowadays. DJ was the cutest one in the group. I never cared that he was short. First, I was about that height at my tallest. Unfortunately, with a family history of osteoporosis on both sides, and over 6 decades in my rear view mirror, I am now under 5 feet tall. Anyway, I find people's personalities and characters far more important than height, age, color, etc. DJ and his band mates brought pleasure to countess people with their music, their TV show, and their charming manner. By the way, I think "Day Dream Believer" was my favorite of their songs, and my sister had a couple of their full sized records. Why can't we have new nice programming anymore? Almost everything I watch anymore is old stuff, because I can't stand most of the shows made nowadays. Well, at least we still CAN watch the old stuff.😃
