I admire all the muscle car stuff that Ford made in Australia. This is a beautiful car, reminiscent of the 1970 american Torino in the tail design. And I enjoy its music too.

Custom build ? Obviously you didn't include the engine ! WEAK
@boss9coupe6 ай бұрын
@Kayobear19 Yes i agree the engine was very under powered it was built for the owner by another engine shop in his part of town. Unfortunately the engine shop did a poor job with a tiny camshaft and poor flowing cylinder heads, the result was the engine did not perform as the owner wanted. So after discussing with the owner, I replaced the camshaft upgraded the cylinder heads now ( CHI ) changed the manifold and carburettor resulting in a increase in rear wheel power from 280 rwhp to 448 rwhp..with the same short block apart from a bigger hydraulic flat tappet and top end induction.

That's 1.72 hp/ci which is pretty stout. That extrapolates to about 735 hp at 7 liters of displacement. Let's say we lose 10 percent for lower compression and less cam. Still impressive.
@timouellette4693 Жыл бұрын
This engine in stock form one can expect a hp rating between 540-550. Not too sure how its putting out over 1000hp?

you are right to question the maths it is a 598ci engine i've updated the description Thanks..makes about what you would expect for those cubic inches, though it does have a unusually strong power curve for the some of the parts used 920hp at 5500rpm.

Sounds lazy.
@boss9coupe2 жыл бұрын
Hi Christopher the sound of the engine around 5000rpm when loaded on the dyno stalls for a second till the dyno catches the engine and then starts accelerating from there..the engine made 890hp at 5250rpm - 920hp at 5500rpm and 897 ftibs of torque at 5100rpm. so inmo the engine's power curve is above average for those cubic inches and engine modification's of any other make of engine mopar Hemi or Wedge, chev BB etc..
