Something I read on BGG a decade or more back for T&E, when considering scoring look at "sets" of the colours. Seems to work better for some people.

Yet another amazing video. I don't know how many games I have learned by just watching your videos, they are incredibly detailed. Thanks.

Only comment I'd add is that you say the full game is "very different". To anyone who wonders, it isn't drastically different. It's just longer (because it takes longer to reach each AGM) and therefore you can achieve more. The other big difference is that the actions are in random spaces so aren't paired as logically as they are in the intro game. Makes for some interesting decisions about where to place developments. Overall though, the introductory game is a great way to learn GC and would recommend it every time you play with new players. The experienced players will still enjoy it
@GamingRulesVideosКүн бұрын
I'd say it is very different, because the placement of the different actions changes the game a lot. And the different company goals too.

It feels a bit like Kanban EV lite and very much delivers that Lacerdaesque delightful overlaying of systems of mechanics. I would recommend GC to anyone that likes Lacerda's games. I have also watched Lacerda play the game himself at Leiriacon and he enjoyed it

Thanks Paul, this was perfect timing as the game arrived on my doorstep this morning! (2 hours after you posted the video)... so excited to get one of the first copies - it's not how it usually goes in Australia! It's now punched and arranged - tomorrow will give it a go solo...

I'm about a month late on this video but thought I'd offer up a solid idea for the Gridcon 6 ticket dilemma. Only possibility I'd have to make it to Gridcon is if I happened to be in the UK the same time it was happening. I'm not a patreon supporter and not coming to Gridcon 6. I think the best idea would be to make 200 tickets available to Patreon (However, give all Patreons the possibility of going). To do this, you can hold a free raffle. Whereby people mark that they are interested in going to gridcon, you run the raffle and the 200 people that are randomly selected can then buy their ticket. You can set a time threshold (give people a week to buy their ticket and if they don't run another raffle excluding the original people that received the chance to pay for a ticket). This way ALL patreons interested have a chance at a ticket and then you still have the remaining tickets for the public. (It doesn't have to be 200 to 100, just an example). Hopefully someone's suggestion in the comments will help you figure out the conundrum!

@@boardgamerpaul glad the video helped, even if you got it late. My Patreon supporters got early access to it, as they helped me check it for errors. Which is good, because there were a few tweaks I had to make before this final version was created. :)

Interesting playthrough. Still waiting for my copy. Have you played a campaign to the end? With 16xpin the first leg a rough estimate would be 48 and the end of leg three. By that time your sheet must be filled out and you have more dice than you can roll in a battle? Or how does this scale in leg 3?

Puerto Rico is a great game …. but there really is no need for an overproduced and overpriced edition. Just get the regular 2022 ish reprint which features all the expansions (of which the only one really good is the new buildings, the others being meh) for about 40 euros.

I just recently got this one and have been really enjoying it. I feel like you let chat gaslight you into thinking the scenario was bad. I played without knowing what others thought of it, and I thought this scenario was one of the best so far. Big map with more exploration, more lore and story, lots of cool things to find and interact with. I honestly don't know what people didn't like about it (unless it was specific to playing on Normal or if there were differences if you made specific choices earlier in the campaign).

For sponsored videos, I go to a lot more effort with these videos, as it takes time to setup those camera angles. For non-sposnored videos, I don't do as much of that, unless I've had the time to set things up beforehand.
