TY as mentioned by others YOUR review was the only useful discussion about the new Essential = affordable Stranberg. Would like to see an update in time re' sonic palette of the 5 way switch combinations and whether you were able to solve the volume (? any height adjustment of the bridge pickup possible?) and your demo of different playing styles after you've had a chance to discover them. I do finger-style acoustic mostly but am using a tele c SD humbuckers low action due to a hand injury. (Also a huge fan of Elixers...) so if you could mention action it would be great to learn. TYKenn Harris Desert Stories and other albums on YT 🍎 Spotify etc in case interested. Be Well Kenn🎸😎🎼

Hi Elias. Unfortunately strandberg’s website only lists 24 DHP stainless steel frets, and not a specific fret size, under the product specs.

its an odd thing maybe, but i been interested in the Indian FTR and this Katana...and range is one of the things that i been trying to see, since i ride with some cruiser dudes who got baggers and can go a ways... and info is nice to know....this video...at one point speaker is going on about the size of the tank in liters, then right after he says MPG...G...gallon...and then don't convert the liters size to gallons...i know it isn't hard to do, but i watch these vids so i don't have to think. It was then i just skipped to the end to see the range and am now going on my way.

When you run the string through the bridge you need to kink the end so you can get it. That is a fairly common need if you have a string retainer. That kink will also help with the nut. It also helps to work with the guitar flat on the table. That metal disk keeps the string from getting cut by the grub screw. It is not supposed to be glued down, and does need repleced eventually. On the hioshot equivalent nut it is very easy to cut your strings in the nut. Those disks are Teflon coated delryn. You want to loosen the strings then, unlock the nut. You want to put the string in without 1.5 turns on the tuner before it comes off. That will keep the ball end from sticking out. Everyone has the same issues you had with the 1st string change.

@nohbody
@nohbody 4 ай бұрын
@@ayushj7578I wouldn’t say the pickups need to be swapped, but depending on your requirements; ie using it for studio recording, playing more more extreme genres of metal for example, you might demand additional output or clarity which these pickups might not be able to deliver. After doing some research I was able to determine these pickups are Indonesian replicas of strandberg’s higher end pickups. I hope that helps!

From my perspective as a lifelong guitar/music lover; one of the coolest things about "Greeny" is its incredible history and the simply mindblowing number of guitar legends that played it. For me personally, it was Kirk Hammett's current ownership/use of it on many of my favorite Metallica songs that opened my eyes to Fleetwood Mac's early years with Peter Green. Tracks like The Green Manalishi and The Supernatural, while some of the coolest tracks ever written, wouldn't have grabbed my attention without the Kirk/Metallica connection.

I'm about to sell my Monster and buy a Katana. I saw coincidentally you used to have a 796! Besides obvious power, how do you find the Katana in comparison for comfort, ergos, handling?
@nohbody
@nohbody Жыл бұрын
Hi Rusty, Yes, first and foremost the Katana power increase from the Monster 796 is on another level, and so is the way in which it generates that power ie; Inline 4 vs. V-Twin. The Katana is noticeably heavier when pushing the bike around, but at highway speeds and in the corners it doesn't feel as heavy as the weight difference would have you believe. The seat on the Katana is also very comfortable and I would say the ergonomics are prehaps slightly more upright than the Monster 796.
