From my listening point I can notice that the timbral difference is due to the fact that with the windshield it loses the attack in the transients, which is why it gives the sensation of loss of frequencies.

The Marshall 1959 is my favorite because unlike the 1987x (I’ve owned) the 1959 is a fatter sounding version.. I’ve owned a bunch of different models inMarshall’s line up…JMP, JCM800, and a 1987x and a few other non tube and hybrid tubes, Valve-state, MOSFET 100, JMD… The 1959 I’ve owned is a reissue from the year 2000, it’s now modified so I don’t need a patch cable to jump the two channels together, it’s done internally…Also have extra gain stages added to each volume control by adding diodes which act as a boost… Mine screams for what it is and the 1959 works great using distortion pedals and overdrive pedals…It’s a versatile format

Silktone makes nice products for sure, and congrats on getting the DC30 (one of the best amps ever made). When you say how responsive it is to your playing at 9:00, what are we listening for? Aren't tubes more responsive than JFETs?

This lesson and the part 2 of the Open A tunning has so much valuable information, what a great, great lesson... this is a masterclass Budda, thank you so much for sharing. I was learning Blues Going Down from this band called Budda Power Blues, don´t know if you know it and I wasn´t happy with the chord voices I had, so I stopped and went back to basics and remember that you had upload this lessons and man... how helpful this was. It may look obvious from your perspective but from someone who is learning blues everyday this has unlocked another level of choices. Cheers Budda!!

Great video. It's like I'm watching myself in a manic tone test. My question is were you just stacking these pedals in series. Please tell me I'm missing something here because when you cancel the original device the pre section would still be engaged and all other vibes would be going through that preamp. I hope I'm missing something.

I have had and enjoyed both versions but I only kept the blue version in the hand wired ac15. There is a depth the greenback does not have. Also, my god that Telecaster sounds divine! Is it stock pickups in that ‘52 reissue? I have the AV’64 headed my way now. /thanks for this review

Hi. What are the values of your pots? I want to do this mod to my strat but I would like to keep the stock pots but not sure how it will work sinces g&l uses 1meg pot for the bass cut
@shader265 күн бұрын
Were they the stock tue s in there? I just bought a used one and it had very, very much mids with humbuckers. Have been trying to dial it in. Notice that the drive channel accents different freq for the mid and treble when engaged, which is a good idea. Anyway, thanks for the video, I hadn’t thought to raise the bass as much as you have and made it sound good. Will try that.

I was really thinking about getting this and putting it before my Two Notes Le Clean preamp and a Cab M. No longer need to buy more pedals. The Cab M can be upgraded to a Cab M+ and itself is a preamp. I believe a Fender Silver Face is the amp it emulates which is fine by me. If I want a Plexi I can buy a used Le Crunch since Two notes no longer makes the Le Preamp.

The BIG surprise for me was how much I preferred the 58 with grill over the others - just a nastier more exciting sound. I've used my 57s and a 58 for vocals and this just doesn't align with my experience of how the 58 should sound. I've always found it darker and less, not more edgy

@BuddaGuedes10 күн бұрын
They are different. The benson has more eq possibilities but the broadcast has two footswitchable gain settings. I would go for the broadcast because of the two gains.

Congratulations for the new Guitar Budda. I’m completely confident that it sounds as good as it looks. Love the specs, it’s like you have an overdrive, an EQ, a tremolo and a kind of delay (with the out of phase option) in the tip of your finger’s, love it so many options. Joao beyond being a really nice person, it’s an amazing luttier and I love his work, it’s all so authentic and truthful. I have the privilege of owning a Roidz and I can’t get enough of my guitar. Cheers Budda.

Hello Budda, keep making good videos, you're on the right track. I love your opinion. So I question between the following tremolo pedals, which one do you suggest: Walrus Audio Monument V2 and the JAM pedals Harmonious Monk (MK 1 or 2)? There are a few Boss pedals that are hard to slag; the Trem is definitely one of these.Their attempts at Fender emulations represent a specific era of technology, and though certainly recognizable, they are seriously flawed.Having said that, they are also good fun; the Reverb,Trem, Vibrato and a BD2? Should provide many hours of territory to explore. Strymon pedals in general were engineered to be " musical", from the ground up, and there lies their single weakness.It's a challenge to get them to sound truly ugly.
