Stand up shift your weight on to the rear and open the throttle the bike will track through it just fine. It’ll feel loose but that’s because it is :)

It's definitely a learning curve on the big bike, it was iffy the first time I got my 1190 in some deep silt around here. Try and carry more momentum through and stand up- it feels sketchy at first but it feels great to do!
@adventuristtv26 күн бұрын
Absolutely. Started to get the hang of it after a while, but felt pretty sketchy at the beginning!

I think it's the colours that get me hooked out there. The contrast between red earth, blue sky, and white clouds is amazing. Great vids.

I'm glad you found the red dirt intimidating, I rode there solo on a loaded GS1200 and felt the same. fell of heaps, just slow speed washouts. but yea it's hard work. great vid guys.

@@adventuristtv absolutely. not sure I could do it again on the GS but would love to on my 300 Rally. i'm 67, love the weight of the Honda.

great video, been to CC on my GS1200 on my own from Gold Coast, dropped it over 10 times through Bulloo Downs on the way, camped so was fully loaded. great to relive my trip through this video. thanks mate.

The little left head check of the small carpark at the top of old burrier at the gate, park there and walk about 20m off the right side of the track, it a great lookout.
Not good. Assuming it’s not already under snow, the clay becomes as slippery as ice.

@@adventuristtv We had 2 creek crossings that were maybe 0.5m, and that was ok, but got stuck at the Lachlan river right at the end. Had to detour to the highway to get to Yass. We were continuing on to camp at Wee Jasper

Great trip, Outback looks fantastic....I assume by the lack of luggage carried on all the bikes you must of had a support vehicle?....if not interested in what all of you carried, cheers
@adventuristtv2 жыл бұрын
We didn’t have any support vehicles. We stayed in pubs mostly so didn’t have to carry tents, etc. For the trip to the corner, we were staying at Tibooburra before and after, so didn’t carry all our gear.

Great video mate! I recently bought a KTM 1190 R and can't wait to get out there on it, but I reckon I'll be just as (if not more) nervous on that loose stuff as you were, especially since I've been a road rider most of my life... Anyhoo, looking forward to more of your adventures, stay upright! 👍

Really good vid. You always seem to put a video out of a ride I’ve been mentally planning. We’re riding to Cape York in September so I’ll expect a thorough video of your adventure beforehand please…..
@adventuristtv2 жыл бұрын
I rode to the Cape with a tour back in 2013, and we’re booked to go again next year, so I’m afraid I can’t help you with that one. However, I can highly recommend Shadower75’s videos from last year: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHmzqJeqq8mmmas

Well done mate! Yep, that Cut Line can be hairy and momentum if definitely your friend! 🤞😂🍀 Mark & I rode it before they replaced quite a few of the horror bull dust sections and my heart was in my throat many a times! But the stunning scenery was a great distraction nonetheless. Great adventure m8…carry on! 😁👍🏁🏍💨

What is that screen you have on your bike? Is that the standard one?
@adventuristtv2 жыл бұрын
If you are referring to the tinted windscreen, yes it is standard. I have it wound up to the highest position to get a bit more wind deflection.
