It’s getting harder with more and more country roads being sealed, but there are still loads of places worth the adventure of getting to!

If you squint you can see me on the stands at Siberia :) Rode down on my Daytona over 3 days. Had a blast. Obviously, a more sealed route than the one you took ;P

That’s all part of the MotoGP experience - the journey to and from the Island is as important as the weekend itself. See you there in 2022!

That video series was from our 2018 trip. Unfortunately, I've deleted some of the GPX files from the 2018 trip. From 2018, I have: Yass to Jindabyne: adventurist.tv/gpx-y2j Jindabyne to Lakes Entrance: adventurist.tv/gpx-j2le I've just uploaded the first part of our 2019 trip. We made a few improvements to the route for this year. On day 1, we rode the entire length of Broken Cart Trail. On day 2, instead of riding east through the Deddick Valley to Bonang, we rode west from Wulgulmerang through Native Dog Flat to Omeo and then down the back roads (mostly Engineers Rd) to Lakes Entrance. On day 3, we used the service roads alongside the railway lines to avoid some main roads, then followed our usual route through the pine plantations. The GPX files for the 2019 trip can be downloaded from here: adventurist.tv/gpx-f2pi-2019

Phillip island to farm?

To be honest, I haven’t even looked at the footage yet. If there’s any good stuff, then yes, there’ll be another instalment. The Barry Way was fun and Long Plain, etc was also pretty awesome. Plus there was that old hut. I’ll take a look.

It’s a beautiful part of the world. I always look forward to taking that route towards Phillip Island! I have no idea what was happening in both our GPSs. At least we figured it out in the end. Strangely enough, the following year we had another GPS oddity not far from there. Coincidence?
