You have your light deflectors on your chrony on wrong. They are supposed to go sideways (left to right) to cover the sensors, not parallel (front to back) with the unit. The sensors can get real finicky, the light has to be just right. Indoors with a shop light right above the unit you sometimes can get away with not using them. It's hit or miss depending on the unit. But if there is too much light outside you would need to have them on correctly. That last group was great!

Yeah, we ended up with 16 on the day. I edited 3 little ones out because it was already going to be a pretty long video. Supposed to go again next week and bring my brother with me. I'd sure love to get him hooked into a big one.

Whoa! What a day you both had. Beautiful lake and I bet that you will be going back. Nothing happening up in Illinois. My sons go out, lately, not much biting. Disappointing for them, but it won't be long before ice fishing for them. Still in the 50's and a warm spell coming. I know they will be going out before long. Good to see you both out having fun. Thanks Shirl! We really did have a great day. The weather and the bite combined to make it fantastic. It's Fall here, and it's time for the cats to fatten up for winter so Russ and I are going to try to hit em hard while the weather allows. When your boys are starting their ice fishing adventures, I'll be wintering in.😂

@@casualcarolinafishing5835 Fall here too, but you and Russ nailed them on that day. I will be "wintering in" too. Don't like the cold as I get older and can't ski. I do miss skiing so much. I used to love the cold and the crazy things I used to do. Life has away of taking some of the fun things away. It was so great to see you posting a video. I have been subbed to you for a long time. I think the day kicked our tails. Both of them passed out on the way home. I probably would've too if it wasn't for having to drive us home. It was HOT!😂

Causal Carolina Fishing They had a good time that is for sure. This Summer was hotter than usual so people not used to the outdoors will take a while to get used to this weather. I was recently hiking in +96 degree weather with a heat index of around 110, it was not easy but I got some good outdoor videos.

You didn't mishear. Adam's father passed when he was young of cancer so never got a chance to take him fishing and teach him. So of course he didn't know how to pass that along to Emmitt. I'm glad I got to take them on their first trip. :)

Thank you! Yes, his mother named him after Emmitt Smith. I was tickled when she told me. So far he doesn't have any interest in football though. lol Ah well, at least he seemed to enjoy fishing.

I want to tell you how much I loved this video. Our almost 4 year old great grandson since he was two eats, sleeps fishing. He thinks of not much else. He calls his papa (my son) to ask him to come over and fish with him. He even dreams about fishing. I raised my sons to love fishing, bc that is what I was brought up doing. This past Sunday my son caught him taking a hook out of the fishes mouth. He watches everything my son does. What a joy it's to see a child love the things that you love. Ha! What a wonderful story Shirl. I've been waiting for Emmitt to get big enough to hold one of my catfish rods. They came up last Weds and the first thing I did after they got settled in was grab one of those rods and take Emmitt outside to see if he could hold it up on his own and he could. That's all I needed to see to ask his mom if I could take him fishing. Glad Adam came along with us. I think he enjoyed catching his first fish. Hopefully I can take them again and get them on something bigger.

Hey Ronnie. I'm surviving. I've had 2 very painful kidney stones, a melanoma skin cancer removed, and now the shingles. All since mid November. I'm ready for a break from all this mess. I'd like to do some fishing sometime this year... Hope you're doing well?

@@hunkereddownoutdoors I do still have it. I don't shoot it much anymore. I had to send it to Gamo to get a seal replaced due to how much I shot it when I first got it so I figured I'd better take it easy on it from now on. The first time was free since it was under warranty, but that's run out now.
