First time youth hunt in 20C. Access is tough so we drove the entire unit over a weekend. Looking forward to a Fun game of hide and seek for my new 10yo hunter!!

I am taking a first time hunter that is 16 on a cow hunt in early October. Coming from Northern California can anyone let me know if there is a good reason to bring a side by side or will it not be that demanding. I live in Alaska and I enforced those laws for over 24 years. I have many sad stories of hunters that failed to salvage ALL the edible meat. Your advice is very good. For first time moose hunter go look at a horse up close and decide for yourself how far do i want to carry this butchered animal. You cannot over state the importance of complying with the salvage requirements.
