In the past i have had a bad run with Ford warranty . Since that time I have spent more than $500,000 buying other brands. It seems that you have to bail out of owning a Ramger at around 40,000 kms before they start giving headaches. The sre the most common 4wd seen on flat bed tow trucks.

Thanks once again for taking us along with you on your Europe trip. You visited most places i had traveled when i was 22. I've always wanted to go to Cinque Terra and doubt i'll get there now, but really enjoyed your video. Have a merry christmas guys and can't wait to watch you in 2025.🎉❤

Hey guys. Lovin' your videos. Stumbled across them this arvo while searching for stuff on Hybrid Caravans, while I'm sitting at home with Covid. Yeah, it's still around! Only seen your vids from a few years ago so far and really enjoying them. Picture quality is great. What sort of cameras do you use? Cheers, Bridgy.

You're an absolute legend mate I'm stuck at a camp-site with no power to my battery! I just simply put my regular to the battery side of the cable from the solar panel and I'm now getting huge amps and fridge is working again! Thankyou! What a difference

Love the idea of the false floor and bed area, I am doing a similar thing to my 120 but retaining the middle row seats, the idea is they will fold down parallel with the floor, on the larger seat side in the boot area there will be a drawer system on the same side and height at the folded seat, with a timber panel to rest on top of the middle row seat, leaving a full height boot space on the opposing side for a fridge. I intend of camping solo, and so a single space for sleeping will suffice. I hate setting up tents and having tent material flapping around in the wind at night and really not interested in caravans or camper trailers for the most part.

Not many vehicles can tow 3.5 tonnes. Landcruiser 300 just Landcruiser 76 Nissan patrol y62 just. Both have GVM upgrades available if required. Isuzu truck Iveco truck. Rear axle weights are the issue

Excellent review and well balanced. I also hate the electric park brake. I understand why they are all going that way but in 10 years of owning my current vehicle the only fault I have ever had is with the park brake and its been an issue 3 times now, once requiring a tow into Alice Springs (under warranty thankfully). Sometimes I don't know how the manufacturers come up with an allowed ball weight of 350kg. I think mine might do it with no fuel and no driver in the car but thats the only way I can see it happening without overloading the rear axle. Anyway a very good review thanks.

The charging source is extremely important or the heart...not just or only the solar. One can use a DC-DC charger and easily gain more charging input

Why don't manufacturers build in channels from front to back for mods? Also why don't manufacturers design their vehicles with all the filters and regular maintenance stuff presented front and centre under the bonnet?

Keegan, Finally after many years of watching KZbin videos on the subject it’s very rewarding to finally come across somebody that actually knows what he’s talking about, as I come from the same background. Keegan totally ignore the knocker’s as most of them could not even know what ohms law was and would have no idea how to use it. Keegan keep up the good work. G..

The title should read Toyota owner realises how basic a Toyota is 😜 Good review mate, compare the power of the v6 to a standard v8 200, they are pretty similar If the ranger doesn’t feel powerful enough it can be tuned like your 200
@SarahandKeelanTravels4 күн бұрын
Great car like I said and I’m not one eyed Toyota man, I know a good car when I see it!! But I don’t think it’s the same power, I’ve been in heaps of stock 200s, and heaps of fast powerful cars (not 4wds) and you can definitely notice the bigger displacement engines. Just like when I step out of our 200 into a Silverado I notice the difference same same. Leroy is running 800nm at all 4 wheels and over 1000nm on the fly wheel which is still a reliable tune. No doubt you could get a similar number out of Ranger even in 2h without the drivetrain loss .. but it wouldn’t last long being that strung out on a smaller engine. That’s why no tuners push them that far, Not just my opinion that’s just the science. But like I said, it underwhelms me in that department but the tech, the look of it, the interior. The rager has a lot of points it kills the 200.. but power and comfort ain’t them..

Hi From New Zealand. Thanks for doing a great promotion of New Zealand. I sent you a comment on the 4 weeks ago video, can you read it and make a comment please. Well this video that you did in Europe was amazing with great videoing and information of the area. The Ford video was very informative. We hired a 2l ford wildtrack while in Australia and was good. Well Chuck Norris will be impressed with those moves, but you need to practice the round house kicks more. We are about to experience this caravanning life just for the weekends and holidays because of our jobs and pets in our 2015 Ford Ranger and our 2007Jayco Sterling caravan. Its a start. Have a great Christmas and New Year and I am looking forward to seeing you in 2025 Thanks again Jono P

Nope wrong on your first point. The batteries are in deed the heart of the system but the panels are indeed the lungs. You can never have too many batteries in terms governed other than cost logistics and weight. Ultimately you scale your system based on average power consumption during cloudy or winter conditions, The actual rule for an rv or any system is on a sunny day to positively gear the panels well above average kwh power usage (basically on rv as many as you can fit) the battery scaling is only relative to what you can afford and or logistically carry but more is better. You are way more likely (not on a rv due to limited panel real-estate ) in general off grid systems to hit the point of diminishing returns oversizing the panels well before that of oversizing the battery.
@SarahandKeelanTravels6 күн бұрын
Nice opinion but I disagree.. what’s better? 100ah battery system with 1000w of solar OR 1000ah of battery with 100w of solar? Which system will out perform the other.. before you answer really have a think. This question will determine a lot! Have a nice day 😁
@stopcensoringme62966 күн бұрын
@@SarahandKeelanTravels Yeah I totally understand what your saying and i do agree with you but you have simplified what is a variably complex equation as that does not scale. One example is voltage spike. When there is no load connected to a solar PV system, the generated electrical energy can cause voltage spikes within the PV modules. This can potentially damage the photovoltaic cells and cause overheating. Where as oversizing battery systems whether as voltage or amps generally benefits higher charge and discharge amps while running cooler as it shares the load.
