I ran 1000 feet of shielded cat six in my home studio. I’m looking into using female Keystone jacks, and using patch cables to connect to the XLR breakout box. I used shielded (F/UTP) Cat6 so I can pass Phantom power. However, it’s come to my attention that I may need a particular RJ-45, or ether con connectors, and patch cables to pass phantom power to the breakout box. Can anyone elaborate on that?
@PartsExpressOfficial16 күн бұрын
For equipment that doesn't need a ground, or where a ground wire could cause issues, this Talent Ethercon cable is still the solution. The ground wire has the ability to be lifted from the shielded RJ-45 connector inside the etherCON shell. After removing the etherCON shell you'll see that the ground wire is crimped under the metal strain relief of the RJ-45 connector. Remove the ground wire from under the strain relief and cut it off or tape it up if you want to reinstall it later. With Phantom Power, the drain/ shield will function as the ground, which interfaces with the Shielded RJ45/ Ethercon connection. However, if a the connected equipment doesn't require the grounding, disconnecting the drain/ shield from the Shielded RJ45/ Ethercon connection would be suggested.

You can come out of the HDMI output of the soundbar with a converter to change it to RCA. Then you can hook up any external amp to run the bass shakers. They look interesting, but I don't see a treble/bass control (of course you can use an equalizer but not in the TV). I wonder if I turn off the "boost bass" they're still heavy bass, I prefer to have a flexible speaker because sometimes you just want to watch a movie and hear voices crystal clear without that boosted bass.

One would almost think a passive radiator would cancel out the sound of the active by creating an opposite frequency, but instead it enhances it. This is interesting, I didn't know about this, it's good to learn. Ty.
@NocturnalGroovesEnt.-sc9fqАй бұрын
FYI: National Electrical Code aka The NEC, requires you to use Direct Burial Cable (proper gauge) to be buried no less than 24 inches. This protects your equipment from damage due to a surge from atmospheric electrical activity (Lightening). It’s also a great idea to place “Caution Tape” above the Cable (a few inches), so if you need to dig it will remind you as to where you buried the cable. “An ounce of prevention, is worth a pound of cure!”

Do you sell amps for these exciters too? Can you connect them to a guitar amp with a speaker cable? Thanks for posting
@PartsExpressOfficialАй бұрын
Exciters are just a super efficient speaker. Any amp will run them. depending on exciter, HTA20, or the little FX amps (Even Fozi Bear) amp is fine. The HPF on the DTA100 is nice, along with RCA out for sub amp like DAT100LF, as exciter panels tend to be light on the bass side. But magical on the mids/highs

Is this microphone good for ASRM (Audible Sound Range Measurement)?
@PartsExpressOfficial2 ай бұрын
This is a measurement michrophone. It will depend on the range you are looking to measure. This has Frequency response: 18 Hz - 20 kHz This would cover the full hearable range for most individuals.
@daveapex4932 ай бұрын
While this seems to be a small attention grabber, why not make some statement kits?? Signature 10-inch woofer, 5.25-inch midrange, with the AMTHR-4 tweeter? $500 a pair in drivers + $? on cross-over parts depending on the grade of parts. These would still be less than $1500 for the pair and compete with the likes of many finished speakers costing many times the price. Dayton drivers are respected in the DIY community, but DIY still suffers from not knowing the end results. Please, come up with a better line of kits - Danny, did it
