The first speaker: The bass med woofer has a 2" voice coil and if it has a hole in the magnet assembly (which a lot of woofers do) then you can build coaxials with the tweeter set inside the voice coil tube (time aligned). Provided you get small enough tweeters (stripped down Alpine 1" car tweeters). Tiny bluetooth speaksr drivers are even better than tweeters for their open cones. And you can trickle a small loading of upper med in them for way more upper med control. A small cone is more accurate in that regard. And a tweeter just won't do it, making the upper med suffer cos it's all in the woofer. 😅

The builders themselves may have something documented, but unless they submit those to us we have no access to the material. Great idea though! Thank you for reaching out.

@@PartsExpressOfficial Yes, please try to work this into the videos. So many people are looking to get into the hobby and if there was some information on how to build some of these great designs these videos could be great jumping points to get started. Otherwise right now its just a video log of what happened for those that were already there.

@@PhillioDoede Agreed it would be great to have more resources for beginners like different speaker designs that would be easy to create and express our unique expressions. Many of the speakers we see in these competitions would be particularly difficult for beginners to build, since many of them exist because they are sentimental to the builder, or used the parts they had on hand at the time. Popular DIY speakers do exist though, maybe start out by building some "overnight sensations". they are easy and are easier to adapt to whatever materials you have.

@PE - When do we get to see the breakdown of the little two-way monitors on stands shown at the 16min - 08sec mark? - Just guessing, but they are probably somewhat special in their capabilities, since it looks like these were used as some type of baseline. Thanks
