Unfortunately Greek yoghurt doesn’t contain live culture - so milk goes bad if we do this instead of turning into curd/yoghurt In India we always keep a spoonful of curd from the earlier batch - mix it with milk and keep it overnight to get fresh edible curd in the morning

A spoon of yogurt can turn milk into yogurt because of the live bacteria cultures in the yogurt. Here’s how it works: 1. Live Bacteria: Yogurt contains beneficial bacteria, usually Lactobacillus and Streptococcus species. These bacteria are responsible for fermenting milk. 2. Fermentation Process: • When you mix a spoonful of yogurt with warm milk (ideally around 110°F or 43°C), the bacteria start to multiply and consume the lactose (milk sugar). • As they metabolize lactose, they produce lactic acid, which lowers the pH of the milk. 3. Milk Transformation: • The lactic acid causes the proteins in the milk, primarily casein, to coagulate, forming the thick texture we recognize as yogurt. • The acidity also gives yogurt its tangy flavor and prevents the growth of harmful bacteria. 4. Time and Temperature: The process typically takes 6-12 hours, depending on the temperature and the amount of starter yogurt used. This is why a little bit of yogurt (with live cultures) can “seed” an entire batch of milk and turn it into a fresh batch of yogurt!

@@monicaparker4922 High protein, yes. However, the number one most proven method to create a healthy gut bacteria is by eating fiber.

@Megan_The_Trainer_ Eating more fiber only makes you bloated and gassy and it will not fix any hormone issues. Fiber is only good for adding bulk to your waste. If you want to fix any and all gut issues, hormone too, high protien, real food is the only way to get your body back to 100%.

that tub of yogurt is probably 4-6 bucks. a gallon of milk is 4 bucks. There 16 cups in a gallon. So you spend a little over a dollar worth of your milk and a few hours in order to save 4-6 bucks.. Cool trick, not worth it for most people.
