I’ve done that hike twice and it is one of my absolute favorites! We turned around at the same point you did, basically at Kæfufoss. I also loved Skálabrekkufoss the best!

On the train down to San Diego a a woman and her grand daughter got on a few stops later. They took the only seats available and I heard "you can see the beach if you look between the seat and the wall". I immediately switched seats with them because there was no way I was going to deprive the kid from a little bit of wonder and excitement.

I just tuck all the straps away like in the video and make sure everything is nice and cinched. It has held up really well and I’m still using it to this day!
