French Valley Day Hike in Patagonia- Hiking the W trek in Torres Del Paine

The French Valley section of the W trek in Torres Del Paine can be hiked as a day hike with a little planning. The French Valley is one of the most beautiful sections of the W trek.
Catch the first ferry in the morning to Paine Grande Lodge to start the hike. Make sure to arrive an hour before departure to secure your spot on board. You must keep a good pace to get to the Mirador Frances and back before the final ferry leaves for the day.

I want to thank you so much for posting this video and the other one Torres del Paine, I’ve learned from you and I’m preparing physically and mentally to accomplished the harder paths. I have 3 months before my trip. Thank you once again🙌. If you can answer one question, going down the hard climb at Torres del Paine, where the boulders and rocks are, was it very slippery going down?

The day we did the hike was dry so not slippery, but there was one point in the woods were the path was by some water and the rocks were a little slick. Just take your time and you will be fine. Have a great time on the trip
