Apparently, I'd need an inverter to operate the Sun-Mar fan at 12v? I've begun the 'prepper journey' so, I'm thinking of emergency or long-term power outage where water access is limited and flush-toilets are a waste of water. My thought is to put one of these in a stand-alone outhouse. This would NOT be an exercise in compost because I live where winter temps get down to -40 Farhrenburger🙂. (An exhaust fan would be an optional, summer-time luxury). It seems the Sun-Mar would certainly be the better choice for 'put and take' waste product in winter. Anything to add to my meager analysys? Thanks for your efforts here. Very helpful.

At 8:07 she says you can make it anywhere as long as you can make the turns. Many times you are going to find yourself in a situation where you CAN'T turn around. Scout the area ahead on foot or preferably by car ( your tow vehicle). Good luck!

Please add atmospheric water generator. So common these days but nobody seems to incorporate them? 2 to 4 gallons a day for the small units run off solar is an absolute no brainer... Imagine fresh clean water trickling into your clean tank every single day via solar. Now that is truly "off grid"

My daughter and I are going to drive to the southern tip of South America. Looking at options. My daughter thinks a class c rv would be good. I think a 30 ft bus would be better. What do you think? Would love to get better options. Thanks GG

Brianna, Thanks for sharing your bee swarm with us. Phew! You’re so brave! I’d have a heart attack for sure, being so close to it. I wonder if you have any ground-dwelling bees in the northwest? We had one a few years back at our old house. They were disturbed when my husband accidentally mowed the lawn right over the top of the opening to their hive. They swarmed out and started stinging him all over. When he came in the house, we stripped him down and pulled off the rest of the bees, he collapsed three times, heart stopped three times. I had to revive him while simultaneously on the phone to paramedics. They came PDQ and gave him a shot of anti-anaphylactic shock meds, and all was well soon after. I had never heard of bees living in the ground before, and the local bee keeper in our town didn’t know much about them, so that’s why I wondered if you had them out your way.

I would love to see more of your skoolie projects. I have learned a lot from Chuck and would love to learn from your experiences, thoughts, and reasons for why you do things the way you do them. I am still designing my first build so any hints or ideas from someone like you that knows what they are doing and do high quailty work is extremely helpful.

Great repair in a tight little booger of a spot! Good thing ole Chuck wasn’t around, hiding tools on you! Sheesh! What’n’hell could he have been thinking! My husband once took my coffee can with my drill bits in it and used it in his veggie garden. The next time I went to grab my drill to work on a project, the bits were gone from the place I always kept them. After asking him if he knew where they might be, he finally admitted to thieving the can for his garden. Hell hath no wrath like a carpenter missing her drill bits! So, I feel your pain. Chuck: You’d best keep your distance for a decade or two. 😉

Great Video !!! Great Job. It is nice to hear the hisotry and explanation of a rig along with the work too. Great display of tool usage also.. It's not everday you get to use a nibbler, Pex cutter and crimp tool, so that'll be beneficial to many viewers working on their You Tube Certification. And here I was hoping to work on a project with Chuck someday. Now I just don''t know. If somone come to my shop and didn't put tools away, ohhh boy !!! Ohhh Nooo !!! They might get hit in the back of the head with a 6ah lithium 20V battery that came flying across the shop when I got pissed off that I couldn't find a tool cuz it wasn't put back where it goes. LOL And that's being nice, cuz sometimes that 6ah battery might have an impact driver or drill attached to it too. Don't be like Chuck peeps !!! Put tools away where they go when you're done with them. Especially when using someone elses shop. Man !!! I'm just crushed right now. I thought Chuck and I might be able to be friends but nope. Not if he can't put tools away where they go. That just won't work. LMAO

Question as it is only me a male iny bus i have a urinal which currently is plumbed toy black tank. Is the fan on the composting toilets only for the solid waste? O ask as i will eventually convert to composting toilet vut would like to keep the urinal for standing while peeing mainly but unsure if a simple pee trap will stop urine smells with a minimal flush of water?

Did the air compressor fitting at rhe windsheild wiper motors is that off of the sir tank of the busses air brakes? I have made this adapter in thw event towing is necessary to connect a compressor to release and use air brakes but way smart to utilize convenietly to plug a hose in for tires etc. and could totally run air tools!
