A lovely project so clearly explained. I especially like the colour of this little felt purse and the beautiful effects of the embellishments.

I’ve watched other bowl tutorials and they put the design on the last layer. Are there advantages to having the design on the inside and pushing the bowl inside out ?
@kaggieskreationz75663 ай бұрын
Hi , yes you can do it the other way, however I found that when you started to felt it the design can move if on the outside if you rub too hard and I prefer the inside as it’s more secure. But you need to ensure you get enough water and soap into the first layer . If when you take resist out and turn it any off the design is loose , just cover with bubble wrap and gentle felt a bit more after turning it . Worst case you can poke any design into the structure with a needlefelting needle ! Have fun

What a wonderful tutorial, thank you! My question is why Merino and is Merino the fibre of choice?
@kaggieskreationz756610 ай бұрын
Hi so sorry I missed your question . Merino is very soft and great for wearables, it also drapes well and is easy to work with 🙏

How many layers did you lay on top of wool yarn please .? What type of layout did you use for the final layers?
@kaggieskreationz75662 жыл бұрын
Hi Deborah , I used one layer on top of yarn. Shingling it , either in one direction , herringbone at an angle or you can cross hatch it to give it a denser cover. With Nuno the aim is to keep it light with minimal layers migrating into the silk, this gives it a better drape. If it’s too thick it will be more like a traditional felted scarf. Thanks for watching.
